Yeah, that seems to be the likeliest explanation, which would be a terrible shame. I really want to see a whole film with Thor hangin' with the Guardians.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind a small (say Doctor Strange in Ragnarok) size role for the Guardians in Love and Thunder, but I wouldn't want them to take away or overshadow Natalie Portman or Tessa Thompson in terms of the spotlight or narrative.Yeah, that seems like the most likely explanation, which would be a terrible shame. As for Thor in Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3, James Gunn has said that he will be wrapping up everybody's storylines and that it will be an emotional script, so as long as Thor doesn't feel tacked on or intrusive to Gunn's original story then I'm all for it.
That's pretty much what I'm expecting.Maybe we'll see the Guardians in the "teaser" of Love and Thunder and Thor leaves them to go on with his story.
Fingers crossed! Hopefully they can work out the scheduling for this film.Well now...... This could be fun if it happened!!

She’s not above criticism (no one is). It’s just that your particular set of criticisms is laughable.
All the rebuttals between the initial post to which I responded and my response (along with several that follow my post) provide ample details--there's really little need to repost them again. How? Perhaps they are, but a lot of us came into the game late. If you provided more details to back up the claim you'd be closer to winning this game since "goalposts" was used as a descriptor...
I know you all want to see the best, it's very endearing, but I'm just an honest person and I tell it exactly as I see it.
"I'm being honest" doesn't transform an opinion into a truth.
Generally, I find "I'm being honest" or "I just tell it like it is" to be a substitute phrase for "I do not know how to have a civil conversation, exercise diplomacy or tact, or have a willingness to attempt to understand the mindset or feelings of the people I am conversing with.""I'm being honest" doesn't transform an opinion into a truth.
I have to admit I am surprised Portman came back for this. Granted, it’s a juicy lead role, but I am surprised after the character was all but written out largely because she wasn’t interested.
But hey ho.
Ride of the valkyries.
Just make it Thor FaceTiming with Groot and treating it like they’re having an incredibly deep and thoughtful conversation entirely in Groot. Just have Rocket tear up because of the insight.Honestly, I wouldn't mind a small (say Doctor Strange in Ragnarok) size role for the Guardians in Love and Thunder, but I wouldn't want them to take away or overshadow Natalie Portman or Tessa Thompson in terms of the spotlight or narrative.

Jane was written out because Natalie was unhappy with how Marvel Studios treated Patty Jenkins.
