Taika Waititi to write and direct Thor 4

I knew it was coming up, because cast members have been posting all over social about how they're in Australia.
Last week Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth both posted pictures from the Welcome to Country ceremony performed by a group of native dancers in honor of the beginning of filming.

I'm not surprised. I don't expect the Guardians to play a huge part in this movie. We will probably just see them in the opening scenes just to provide continuity with Endgame, and then they will part ways with Thor.
Which kinda sucks as I was expecting a full on Guardians/Thor movie.

Yeah, same here. I'm really bummed out by that. Maybe the Guardians Vol. 3 takes place Love and Thunder? I seem to recall there was something about Vol. 3 that prevented that possibility but perhaps I'm misremembering.

They'll probably be there to explain Thor parting ways with them and then rejoining them at the end.

I think James Gunn said on social media that Guardians Vol 3 takes place after Love and Thunder.
If things hadn't gone the way they did with his firing then Guardians 3 would have been out first.

I wasn't. Such a movie would be a lot of fun, but they are not making a straightforward Thor movie, and I don't see what the Guardians could contribute to Jane Foster's Story.

Quill could relate to Thor because someone they love is dying of a disease? Jane Foster has cancer. Quill's mom had a brain tumor.

As a Thor movie I agree. But having Thor in a full Guardians of the Galaxy movie would be a lot of fun. I personally hope that is still the case because James Gunn did say he had already written the script for that movie and that "very little" had changed since his rehiring. His first draft was 2018.

Is everyone on this movie ripped?

Natalie promised that she was going to get ripped for the role.

The same with Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman, back when she was modelling and in her early roles she was quite thin but she really gained some mass to play Wonder Woman.

Looks good on Natalie, now let's see if the movie can match her acting abilities and give her something to work with.

I have to admit, I was pretty shocked to see her come back. I can't remember if she ever said it outright, but I got the impression that she was done with the MCU after The Dark World.

Her prior issue was that they played bait-and-switch with her where the directors were concerned. She signed on to the Dark World because she wanted to work with Patty Jenkins. All they had to do to lure her back was offer a chance to work with another director that she wanted to work with, in this case, Taika Waititi.
