T-Bag is back.

I cued up breakout Kings.

WTF?

I was confused and gushing and dumbfounded why that one handed psychopath Theodore Baggwell from... was I accidentally watching a rerun of Prison Break?

Fuck me.

Breakout Kings was crossing over with Prison Break, does that make Breakout Kings even technically a "spinoff"?

Its not a spinoff in the natural sense but are set in the same universe. NCIS did the same from the JAG show, Bones is doing the same next season and House almost did it...I doubt the connection with Breakout Kings & Prison Break won't go any deeper than T-Bag appearing on it.

I thought it was a great episode. There might be other Prison Break references considering it's from the same creative team.

And NCIS was a spinoff of JAG. Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly appeared on JAG for a two part episode as a backdoor pilot before NCIS was picked up.

I know JAG was used to introduced the characters much like Bones is doing with its spinoff main lead in 2 weeks on Bones. I see NCIS as a soft spinoff if you get me because its now its own franchise seperate from JAG and far as I know no JAG characters appeared or were mentioned on NCIS.

Other spinoffs like the Star Treks, Stargates or Buff/Angel are deeply embeded in the same universe making them more a traditional spinoff was the point I was trying to make.

The JAG organization has appeared on NCIS several times, and Patrick Labyorteaux appeared as Bud Roberts on NCIS once, reprising his JAG character.

But... it isn't called JAG: NCIS

Never watched either ;)

I've thought about just how big NCIS has gotten with a spinoff to boot and yet despite 9 years was it ? JAG never go the same attention really though friday nights doesn't help even in thje 90's unless your name was X Files.

I thought about watching NCIS but it will probably go on for 10-15 years at this rate and I like my stories to well end, same reason I dumped CSI during season 6.
