Sylar and Nimoy... we gettin' a Double Spock scene together?

ALF

Yeah, are we even guarrenteed an old Spock/new Spock scene together?

If so, I wonder how it will play out.
What will Nimoy say to Sylar? Something about how important the adventures to come with Kirk will be, how important Kirk is to Spock, to the Federation, etc.

Because I've been reading ad nauseum (and then some) about how 'great this film will be' and 'JJ is bringing so much new stuff to Trek', etc etc blah blah... Old Spock (Nimoy) is presumably going to rock the time travel, and then rap to young Spock about Eric Bana or something, the Romulan pimp that he is. And Nimoy Spock will tell Sylar Spock how much he will grow to love Kirk.

Because I think Sylar Spock and young Kirk are going to hate each others' guts when they meet, because that's the kind of 'in your face, totally x-treme' style of storytelling I'm expecting to see.

Well, my mind is racing at warp speed here.
Can anyone Photoshop a dandy of the two together?
Bonus points if they are having a Vulcan harp duet.

Seriously, this is quite monumental, I think.
In trek, old/young versions of main characters have always been played by the same actor.
Would this not be the first time for this situation?

I can't imagine Sylar (can't remember the actor's name) playing Spock in the presence of Nimoy. That must have been tough.

I think Quinto and Nimoy have both mentioned that they did work together on the film. So I think we're guaranteed at least one scene with both Spocks.

I'm hoping Quinto, Nimoy and the fat kid playing boy Spock all get their own spin-off sit-com, Two and a Half Spocks.

That would rock.

Not entirely accurate. In TSFS, at least two different actors played younger, regenerated versions of Spock before he 'aged' to become Nimoy again.

Of course, that was a linear progression of the one individual. In Abrams' Trek, we may get a non-linear meeting of two versions of the same individual.

I wonder how many temporal paradoxes will be invoked by this?

The Two Spocks? Must be an anniversary special, though I seem to have missed out on The Three Spocks and The Five Spocks.

They meet passing in the corridor of the Entperprise. They stop, and there's about a one minute scene where each stares silently at the other, raising and lowering their eyebrows. Then, the both say, "Fascinating," at the same time, and walk off in separate directions.

Actually, it's known they are on screen together. A trekmovie.com report on Nimoy and Quinto in Las Vegas has exerpts from Nimoy and Quinto talking about what it was like to work together in front of the camera. But for what it's worth, Quinto said Nimoy actually worked with Pegg more than he did with him.

Well it's not quite photoshop, and it's not mine by any stretch, but this author (Kelvington) came up with his own idea of the plot, and put this together, which includes old Spock and young Spock together...

I'm pretty sure Nimoy and Quinto have a few scenes together.

Abrams would be foolish not to want to show off just how eerily similar they look. It's not often you get that opportunity, especially considering how unusual looking Leonard Nimoy is, and how unlikely it is that your average Hollywood hopeful, much less anyone with enough talent to pull off the role, will look anything like him.

Here's one for you: I'm assuming that Old Spock reveals who he is to his younger self, but will any other of the major characters learn that is Spock from the future? Or will Young Spock introduce him as an uncle, older cousin or something?

We really don't know anything about this film.
Some of us like to pretend we do, but we really know virtually nothing.
So to answer your question, no. That would be a pretty major plot point to leak out.

In fact I remember Nimoy talking about being on the bridge of the Enterprise interacting with the other characters (Zoe Saldana alluded to the same in another interview)

I think that in the movie a "mysterious" older vulcan shows up to help the crew, and only towards the end of the movie does he reveal who he really is, but just to the younger Spock.

That would certainly be the most plausible situation.

This could be good if done properly.

And the two actors, especially Quinto having a striking resemblance to young Nimoy.

Well have to wait and see, as we know absolutely bugger all about the film.

But still, if there is a scene with the two....

SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
