What the Final Battle does have going for it was Michael Ironside getting locked into his typecast.
But he does it so well!!!
"Say goodnight, hot shot." *empties a bag of dust poison on Steven's face*

Caught the marathon this past weekend. I loved it as a kid. The original mini held up pretty well, I thought. V:TFB, not so much. Although it does have it's brilliantly memorable moments, the ending was just... gah.
It's funny how Julie was killed, then alive later and then dead again.Btw, if when you are done with the tv series you want more V, you can read the first draft of what would have been episode 20, with the resolution of the cliffhanger at the end of the tv series & a change in direction:

Well humanity did have to win, not just hold on?This weekend I was watching other stuff, but I did switch briefly to Syfy several times. I watched snippets of V: The Final Battle. Offhand, I thought it looked rather cheesy, but I did like Faye Grant.
I read that the original miniseries had monster ratings (40% of the viewing audience). I believe that NBC ordered the second miniseries after the first one scored big.Well humanity did have to win, not just hold on?This weekend I was watching other stuff, but I did switch briefly to Syfy several times. Were two miniseries the original plan or was the second just green lighted with the success of the first?

I hope this bad idea wasn't carried over into the new series.Hey I got an idea let's steal the water of earth, not that we didn't pass a certain moon of Jupiter that had three times as much water and wasn't at the bottom of a really frickin huge gravity well like the earth is, oh well let's steal the water from earth like a bunch of chumps because we are dump stupid reptilian overlords.....
...I am not even bothering with the TV Series after that.
