New titles joining Sharktopus.

Our favorite channel keeps us in stitches with their lineup of original movies. Joining the more ambitious Riverworld-debuting April 18, are a plethora of the network's staple of creature features, remakes and re-imagined classic tales, with the most shameless buzz titles imaginable.

SYFY 2010-11 ORIGINAL MOVIES LINEUP
Timegate:McKay!

Mongolian Death Worms

If only RHW could have included Sharktopus in Riverworld!

Syfy, Imagine greater...

.

I love Mongolian Death Worms as a title at least.

And Greg Brady vs Mega Pirahna, that can't be all bad, well, OK....

Huh? They already bastardised Riverworld years ago; I don't think it's a 'premire'. (As for best sclock title - sorry, nothing beats Mansquito ;))

It's a new, freshly bastardised version of Riverworld. Okay, it could be good, I have no idea.

^^Hey now, Deep Space Nine's Robert Hewitt Wolfe is the writer for Riverworld, so, that should be viewed on a higher level than Mongolian Death Worms, or Sharkiepus.

Ah, yes, Morlocks. It seems like it wasn't so long ago that David was updating his Twitter about that. Now he's doing a movie involving evil snow demon monkeys or something or other.

Young Indiana Jones and the Mongolian Death Worm. Gotta be better than the Crystal Skull!

i think my favorite syfy original movie had to be megafault, if only for brittany murphy being sucked into the void of awesomely bad syfy movies and the fact that it was filmed in our very own davenport, iowa.

These monsters all sound rather bland to me.

I'll remind you that David Kemper - yes, he of blessed memory regarding the Farscape franchise - has also turned in schlock for Sci-Fi's TV movies. What of it?

Anyway I'm sure we'll know whether or not RHW turns in a decent product or not soon enough. I do have a fondness for the RHW period of Andromeda, so I might give it a go.

TIFFANY? TIFFANY???

Fuck I just had flashbacks to being in the 2nd or 3rd grade and having to listen to half the girls in the glass pick singing I think we're alone now as their 'talent' to perform.

Well, they had Debbie Gibson - excuse me, Deborah Gibson - not long about in that mega shark vs. giant octopus movie, and that was hilariously bad. Of course they'd have to go back 20 years to find her then-rival and give her her own movie. What did they call it, "friendly nations" clauses and all that?

Sharktopus.

And I thought Mansquito was the worst title ever.

Then again, maybe in 50 years these films will be regarded as cult classics just like The Man with Two Brains, Them!, It Came from Outer Space, etc are today.

But, still ... Sharktopus!

:guffaw:

I'd call that an unusual alliance, all right.

You gotta have a sense of humor. These are movies that hearken back to the days of late-night Drive Ins and Creature Double Feature. Relax and enjoy.

Dear lord, there's a Dinocroc vs Supergator movie already produced-and they just aired Dinocroc a few weeks ago, didn't they?

Trailer found here. I was hoping this was a joke, but googling turned up too much info about it.
