Seems like there should be a running commentary on the Steve Jenks character newly introduced on Warehouse 13.

The debut was very low key. I'm not sure that playing the character as not-an-asshole is the same as playing gay, but it is kind of refreshing on this show.

News reports tell us the new agent on Warehouse 13, Steve Jenks, played by Aaron Ashmore, is gay. Reportedly this was at the suggestion of Syfy execs. This should be of sociological interest. Hence the thread.

I thought those guys under the rocks in the GEICO commercials were a joke. Live and learn.

Aaron Ashmore played a Gay Highschooler that wanted to take his boyfriend to the Prom in Prom Queen: The Mark Hall Story in 2004 (really good movie, BTW)

The real news is that Pete didn't make a boob joke. And he should have. They were quite impressive.

So when these producers have the guts to dump the girl and have the new gay character hook up with the main guy (Pete) as his partner - professional and otherwise - that would be an interesting enough show of guts that I might jump back in to check it out.

I always get Ashmore mixed up with his X-Men buddy, who played Pyro. I liked that actor better - Aaron Stanford. Too bad he's stuck on Nikita, a show I don't watch.

Shawn Ashmore was in the X-Men films. He's Aaron Ashmore's twin brother. They had Aaron Ashmore come in for the scene where Mystique had tranformed into Bobby Drake so they could film it without any need for FX.
