Anyone planning on pre-ordering?
I tried to. Target site said they'd sell them at 9 p.m. Pacific/midnight Eastern, but as soon as it hit the top of the hour everything said it was sold out. Page doesn't say everything is sold out anymore, but you can't add anything to your cart: "Something went wrong and the item was not added to your cart. Please try again."
Here's another weird thing. At the top of the hour my Firefox browser is telling me Error code: 429 and I can't access Target's website. But I can access it on other browsers.
Got a Switch 2 in my cart on the app, but then my home address disappeared. Then my credit card disappeared. Not worth the hassle since I likely can't check out anyway so I gave up.
The address eventually came back on its own, but they're telling me they can't verify it even though it's the same address they've been sending stuff to for years: "Using this address may cause delivery issues. Check your street name and number." Something is definitely screwed up on their end.

Just checked some Dutch sites and the base console is €469, the one with Mario Kart is €509. This is also on the official nintendo site...

I thought about this one again and frankly I am more than happy with my Switch OLED and to be honest I don't play on that nearly as much as I thought I would have. So it's a definite pass on this for me
Just learned that PC players have had the Zelda: BotW and TotK Switch 2 upgrades (improved framerate and other graphics improvements) for years and years already thanks to emulator mods and settings.
There's a GameStop in Staten Island that is stapling receipts for the front of the Switch 2 box and the staples are puncturing the screen. The 1-2 punch of bad packaging and bad employees.

Man, I'm so glad I haven’t unboxed my switch 2 yet
I walked into 2 stores on release day after 4pm, one had 2 consoles, the other had a few console bundles. There was no line, but there was someone right after me who also bought one and a person just before me (I could see them opening it in the mall). I was very surprised to find any left at all.
No problems so far, except the first time I plugged it into my tv, the tv was saying no signal. I had to remove the switch from the dock and put it back again. It's been fine since.
It looks like the hard one to find is the Pro 2 Controller. No stores in my area got any stock at all, and no one online has it unless you're very quick if Amazon or Best Buy suddenly have it in stock.

Managed to get one at launch, been having fun with Mario Kart, and I've used Zelda Notes to find a few shrines on TOTK I might have missed. So far I'm enjoying the experience, and I suspect it will get better.
There's not a single Switch 2 title that would make drop $500 on a new console. I still can't believe we only got one original 3D Mario game in a decade.
