Survivor (Season 42): Life, the Universe... and Everything!

I'm rewatching One World right now, and I genuinely feel that this season is underappreciated. I love the initial twist, and honestly like or love half of the cast for one reason or another.
I've never actually had the urge to rewatch any of the seasons other than the first one. Yes, I know how it turns out, but that first cast was genuine and entertaining. I still laugh about Greg and his coconut phone.
Hmm. I've never heard of anybody not wanting to rewatch something, but to each their own.
Beyond simple enjoyment, I'm rewatching One World because it's a Battle of the Sexes season (I decided to do a specific theme rewatch between new seasons and started with the Battle of the Sexes theme and The Amazon) and because I was able to find podcast discussions for it.
I just don't see the point in rewatching a game where I already know who won, don't like most of the participants, and there's nothing that was funny or interesting enough to want to see twice.
That said, I did mention rewatching the first season and there are one or two others I'd watch again. Rupert playing pirate was a hoot.

I would consider watching them just because I know my memory of them will have deteriorated enough for the specifics to be interesting.

I happen to like Colton myself, even though some of his behavior in One World doesn't paint him in a good light.
Okay, I'd never put myself through the torture of watching Colton again. He's a disgusting, whiny, cowardly bigot who squandered TWO opportunities on that show by flouncing when he was let know that his behavior wasn't loved by the others, or if things got a little tough. So many others would have applied for those seasons, this guy got in, and tossed them away.
A legitimate and documented medical evacuation is not 'squandering an opportunity'.
Can you honestly say he wouldn't have quit? His MO is that when the going gets tough, he flounces out.
Yes. In One World, Colton was in the 'kingmaker' position with an Idol and allies (public and secret) that he liked and/or who liked him and/or were willing to follow him.
How many times was he on the show?
Twice: One World and Blood vs. Water.
He did legitimately quit the latter and deserved heat for doing so, but it isn't fair to use that as a measuring stick for what might have happened in One World.
Didn't he say it outright in his second appearance when he quit? And it was confirmed he never had appendicitis when he was evacuated.
He was straight out abusively racist. Remember he called Bill "Ghetto trash" because he had a job that wasn't inherently very profitable and he said "I'm a republican, I don't believe in handouts" when he got most of his money from his rich parents? He was just outright cruel and hateful.
For all the subconscious racism you can argue we've seen in these games, Colton is the only one who outright targeted somebody for being black.
The way he treats people he's possibly the worst human being to ever appear on the show.
The Survivor fandom has perpetuated a number of misconceptions or straight-up falsehoods about Colton over the years, most of which he addressed in an AMA he did on the Survivor Reddit 3 years ago.
It's worth reading in full, but to summarize some of his answers based on the above points:
* He wasn't suffering from appendicitis (the only reason that possibility was brought up at all was because of Tarzan, someone completely unqualified to diagnose anything); he was suffering from a severe bacterial infection in the lining of his small intestine, and had to undergo several antibiotic treatments in Samoa, New Zealand, and the United States following his medevac
* There was much more to his dislike of Bill, none of which was related to race, and none of which was shown onscreen. According to Colton and several other Manano tribe members as confirmed by Reality Blurred and cited on the Survivor Wiki, Bill took Colton's Immunity Idol and threw it into the ocean, forcing producers to reprimand Bill and send other Manano tribe members to search for the Idol
* In the years since One World aired, he has mended fences with both Bill and Christina and regrets and does not excuse his behavior towards them
Two tidbits from his AMA that were never shown but that I find relevant to how he was portrayed on One World follow:
* He actually formed an in-game friendship with Jay, with whom he'd spend hours hanging out away from camera on a tiny island detached from but adjacent to the initial Manano and Salani camps
* Because of their friendship, he wanted to bequeath his Immunity Idol to Jay, but was prohibited from doing so by production
