SURVIVOR NICARAGUA Running thread, commentary, etc. (Spoilers)

The next person to leave Survivor Nicaragua is:

Jimmy Johnson!

Shame, really, as I don't think any of the team's problems stemmed from him, though he did seem to be trying to lead the team much the same way he leads a football team, they should've voted off Tyrone.

But, I guess, there goes any "fan theory" saying that Jimmy J. was put on the show as a "ringer" to win.

Yeah that move had as much to do with pettiness as it did strategy, but whatever. He WAS a weaker link physically, but apparently these Einstein's can't see that "playing strong" is not just about the physical aspect of challenges.

EDIT TO ADD: It will be interesting to see if the ratings suffer any from his early departure. CBS is probably not pleased.

To be fair, CBS has known he was the third person voted off for several months now. It's not like they taped this thing last week. ;)

That doesn't change the fact that they probably are sorry to see him go, regardless of when they knew about it. I say "probably" because I'm assuming (maybe wrongly so) that he probably brought in a few extra viewers.

I usually watch this show pretty religiously but even I'm having second thoughts about continuing to watch this bunch of dipshits. Although I guess there's the "train wreck" factor, it's hard to turn away.

Ahh shit, forgot that Survivor airs on Wednesday now... was catching up on people's thoughts for last week's and boom. Curse you east coast!

For those who miss the show, there's a cool Survivor app from CBS in the android market with full episodes and clips. Of course, you can watch them on CBS.com, too.

Naonka must DIE.

I have never hated anyone on that show as much as I hate her. Didn't even hate Russel this much. GOD what a bitch.

And Marty--- deluded much?

I'd like to start a petition to rename this series "$#*! NaOnka Says".

Would have preferred to see Useless Dan go last night. If the older tribe can put the brakes on their losing skid, I can see Marty going to the end. He seems to have a very good handle on how to read and play people, so long as his arrogance doesn't get in the way. Now that the one person he perceived as a true threat is gone, we'll see.

The next person voted off Survivor Nicaragua?

Jimmy T!

Who wanted to be put into the game and lead his tribe... by not leading it? Eh. No loss for them I guess.

And Nonikia/whatever proves some more than she's a sociopath.

This season's a bit drab overall. The older tribe's pretty boring, but they're getting all the screentime because they keep losing. The younger tribe only gets featured to show NaOnka ranting and threatening people for no reason. I still have no idea who half the rest of their tribe is. I hope it picks up soon.

Also, what's with all the combined reward-immunity challenges? Was their challenge budget cut in half this year? Lame.

Jimmy T was a loser, glad to see him gone.

Naonka is effing insane, I love how she took all the credit for finding the immunity idol after it was Brenda who figured out the clues. If anyone ever needed an immunity idol though, it's her. South Central whaaaat!

I think if the older tribe doesn't get too decimated Marty could win it all. Looks like in the preview the tribes are merging though?!

Argh, I forgot to watch. Glad Jimmy T.'s gone, though, he was obnoxious as hell.

Wait, NaOnka got the immunity idol? Frak! :scream:

If we're lucky, she'll be too clueless to use it -- or will use it when she doesn't need to, thus wasting it and putting a target on her back.

GOD I hate this person.

The next person voted off Survivor Nicaragua...

Tyrone!

A bit a surprise but at the same time not really. Considering Nokia's breakdown I would've expected her to get voted off. I mean, why vote of the competent, strong, man who can provide for you over the woman who was crying in the rain moaning about wanting to go home? But I guess many on her team have yet to of been exposed to her vileness.

And, yes, as expected the teams were re-shuffled in this episode considering the "Old Tribe" was decimated so the Old vs. Young hook is gone. This episode featured one of the most bizarre, unusual and probably most dangerous challenges I've ever seen in the show. The one with tribemates on the water-wheel! Yikes!

Decent episode but, GOD Nionka has to GO!

Such a stupid vote - blue tribe is doomed. They vote off one of the strongest guys just because he's a bit bossy, and keep the psycho girl who might quit at any moment, and the slow guy in his 60s who can barely walk. Yeesh.

I'm glad the Medallion of Po....(I can't bear to finish typing that awful awful name) is gone, at least. Let's hope they never bring that idea back in future seasons.

LOVED the immunity challenge - one of the best they've had in years. The water part, at least. I could have done without the tile breaking part, which was too similar to the beanbag-barrel toss from a couple of weeks ago. Actually, I thought the reward challenge from this episode was a cool concept too.

I'm still on Team Fabio this season. Hope the kid goes far. I like Jane a lot too - she's fun and spirited but not in an annoying way...more of an I-wish-she-was-my-wacky-aunt way.

Thing is, Tyson wasn't even really bossy. He was just letting the new members of the tribe know how the blue tribe handled things and then disagreed about what to do with the chickens. Voting him off made ZERO sense.

Yeah, the sad thing is Tyrone was just trying to avoid any friction with the new team members by explaining how the old team was used to doing things. He had no idea he was coming off as the school principal lecturing a bunch of rebellious youngsters.

I think it was that extra helping of chicken that really did him in, though. I hoped he enjoyed it, because it probably cost him the game!

I don't watch the show but I just want to mention that I met the Nicaraguan ambassador to Taiwan today at an Italian restaurant and my coworker I was with said later she'd wished she'd asked the ambassador about Survivor!
