Survivor 30 - Worlds Apart Discussion *SPOILERS*

I just looked up "cbs.com". It's prominently visible if you click on the section of the site that's about Survivor.

Mike and Carolyn are both on the second chance voting list. Spoiler alert? Does this mean that they got the boot and maybe Rodney won?

How many people at CBS look at the final votes before the reveal? I thought after the first season spoilers got out they kept the knowledge limited.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that anybody on the list didn't win. There aren't any winners from previous seasons on the list but plenty of finalists.

The specific rules of the Second Chance voting state that the contestants have A) only played the game once and B) never won.

It should also be pointed out that, contrary to what the fine print initially said, the Second Chance contestants will in fact be chosen solely by the fan voting.

That is interesting then, I hope they aren't letting out spoilers that way. I suppose, by the time the voting ends, they will not have officially 'won'. They will not officially win until the reunion show when Jeff reads the votes.

Who would win a vote between Rodney, Dan, Sierra, and Will? They all seem equally unelectable. Rodney alternates between controlling his emotions and playing a good game and lashing out like a spoiled child. Dan keeps lecturing people on their gameplay and rubbing everyone the wrong way. Sierra and Will have graduated with honors from the Monty Python School of Not Being Seen, which you could argue constitutes great gameplay. But I can't imagine sitting in the jury and having to pick between these people. I suppose maybe Rodney does win the vote out of that group because he's the only one who can claim he ever controlled a vote.

If neither Mike or Carolyn win the title of Sole Survivor, Sierra has the best shot of those who are left because she hasn't pissed anybody off. She hasn't really done anything to overtly impact the game, but she wouldn't be the first winner to be in that position.

As far as the Second Chance voting goes, we'll know who won Worlds Apart before we know the results of it since those results will also be revealed during the reunion show.

Well, I voted. Since the ballot wouldn't stick unless you voted for 10, I held my nose in a lot of cases and picked the least-objectionable.

Please, let nobody vote for Crabby Maria.

She makes me want to jump through the TV screen and muzzle her. She never shuts up and she's just so utterly annoying. She wouldn't even shut up at Ponderosa, just nonstop yap-yap-yap.

One of my favorites was Spencer, so I'm glad I had a chance to vote for him. There were a lot I voted for that I didn't want to vote for. I feel that even though the fans are voting, CBS picked certain people that they know will get a lot of votes like Troyzan or Woo so they'll basically end up getting the cast they wanted anyway. I voted for Troyzan because I want to hear him yell, "this is my island" again. I also voted for Kieth because he made it so far without really knowing what he was doing. One person I don't want to see is Cass. Please no.And I don't want to see Spencer ally with Cass if she does get voted for.

I don't want her, either. She's nasty. I did vote for Troyzan since he wasn't totally obnoxious. I didn't vote for Keith because I can't understand most of what he's mumbling about. Spencer didn't get my vote, but Woo did.

There were some there that I guessed about since I hadn't seen their seasons or couldn't remember them. About all I could go on was whether or not they gave a good impression, and if they had a voice I was willing to listen to for 13 weeks.

I watched every contestant's video presentation, and then made my decisions based on said videos. I also based my decisions on whether or not I remembered them from their first time on the show (at least in some cases).

I'm also repeating my same votes every day).

I didn't watch every video, I don't have the patience.

Troyzan didn't become obnoxious though until he got frustrated with everybody for refusing to act in their own obvious best interest.

I might watch the videos before the game ends just to remind myself who these people are. Do they have any clips of their previous seasons or are they just interviews? But I will only watch them if I get really bored.

The videos are really short. They're a combination of a brief scene from their season and a short "please vote for me because I want another chance, I'll play a better game, and I won't disappoint you" plea.

I can't be bothered to vote more than once, if it means having to vote for all those other people I don't care about, just to get the number to 10.

Just because a person can vote for 10, that shouldn't mean they have to.

I get liking someone and wanting them to get a another chance but I hate second chance shows. Losers are losers and should have to live with that forever and ever. Millions of people are hoping to get their chance and these shows only delay or prevent them from getting their shot at the fame and fortune.[/rant]

Making 2nd chance shows EXTRA bonus programming which supplements the original series would be cool.

I like the seasons which have no returning cast, and I like the seasons which have all returning cast, but I hate it when they mix the two.

Besides that it raises the odds of the show being entertaining and the game being fun to watch when everybody knows what they're doing, there can be a big luck element to the show and these shows separate the people who got a good draw the first time from people who really know how to play.

Probst has a weekly Q&A with Entertainment Weekly where he addressed this. He said that if one the World's Apart contestants that is in the running for Second Chances should win this season (only Mike and Carolyn still have a shot), they would be removed from eligibility and whomever was the next highest vote getter would take their place.

So there are no spoilers about them not winning this season being revealed, just the possibility for a big disappointment if one of the people you voted for happens to win this season and can't be in Second Chances as a result.
