My day went just short of 16% of what I'd hoped for. I'm calling it a win.

My Internet access is restored! The problem was down to a fundamental mistake the installing tech made back in January. I've already filed for reimbursement.
I'm 59th in line at my library queue to borrow Liz Cheney's new book. It's good not for the waiting, but for the other 58. Rarely do I enjoy this level of agreement.
Tonight's dinner: Creole Shrimp with Extra-Sharp White Cheddar Grits.
The shrimp were perfectly seared and tender, and the grits were creamy and flavourful — perfect comfort food for a chilly, rainy night.

It warmed up today and I finished up on Instagram early, so I went on a second evening bike ride, which was nice. And I will confess, I visited with 6 different horses, so that made it even better. I got a to visit with Belgian I mentioned a few posts back again, and she's even bigger than I thought before, I swear her head is like three times bigger than all of the other horses I visit.
A coupon that I was hoping would work for a game did. So now I have Minecraft for the Switch.

My Jeep got ‘ducked’ yesterday afternoon while I was inside the supermarket, running about getting party supplies at the last minute.
As one could guess, I wasn’t in the best of moods because of that, but then seeing that some unknown, other Jeep owner gave me a duck… Well, it just made the day better all of a sudden!
(‘Ducking’ a Jeep Wrangler is this fun little tradition where/when someone puts a rubber duck on your Jeep, like on the driver’s door handle, etc., as a compliment… basically saying ‘That’s a Ducking Cool Jeep you have.’)

Hubby and I went to the Three Brothers Bakery today--pure bliss.
Wow, that's got to be some kind of record.
My mom and I only took a short walk with the dogs yesterday morning, so we decided to take them out for an afternoon walk too, had kind of a cool moment during it.
We walking through the park and saw a hawk chase a smaller bird into a fence, the hit knocked the smaller bird out, so the hawk swooped down right in front of us and grabbed it, and then stood over it and watched us for a few seconds, before it took off. We've never seen something like that happen so close, so that was kind of cool. But we agreed that we both have kind of mixed feelings on that kind of thing, it's cool to see the hawk hunt like that, but we also feel bad for the prey.
Just did my Christmas wrapping, and they are the best versions of wrapping I've ever done. My wife was actually impressed (and surprised) with it.
Just got back from a Christmas party at my wife's sister's house, where I was Santa for a bit for my youngest niece. She was so thrilled at seeing Santa, and I just saw the videos that my wife and her sister made while I played the part.
I just love doing those things for kids... the joy I see them experience is priceless. Watching her having such a good time was the best thing I've had happen to me for a while. (Even better than impressing my wife with my gift wrappings this year.)

It's a really fun card game that requires a lot of thinking and strategy. (Good luck with the cards when it's your turn is very helpful, too.)
