Surely something good happened to you today

Nothing good here. Car broke down again. An fellow employee gave me a ride to work again. I’m pulling a 24 hour shift so I can sleep Sunday night to have the rest I will need to deal with this damn car Monday.

My boss came into work today because one of the boys called in sick. It was still hectic with all four of us on, so me and the two newbies would have been obliterated if he hadn't turned up.
The other day driving in to work I saw these two mad flocks of birds doing acrobatics over the road and it was wild driving up and then under them and I had some cool tune playing but I've already forgotten what that was.

The bad news: My old computer crapped out and I'm currently posting from my phone.

The good news: I went to Best Buy this morning and bought a new HP desktop and monitor, which should last at least another 10 years.

The bad news: They won't have the new machine ready and my files copied and backed up until Thursday.

(And thank God for predictive text. Without it, it would take me five times longer to write this short post!)

After being closed since the start of the Covid pandemic and repairs delayed due to a labor strike and concrete shortages, the West Seattle Bridge if finally due to reopen.
No more having to take surface streets down and around Harbor Island that add 30+ minutes to my delivery route every day.

I finally decided to spend some money on new clothes and bought three pairs of pants, a belt, and four shirts. Shopping for clothes -- especially trying them on -- isn't exactly my favorite activity, but I had no choice -- I was starting to look like Emmett Kelly.

Men shopping for new clothes always makes for great comedy. My favourite is 2 1/2 Men, Charlie taking Allen shopping for a new look.
This day has been a bummer. Too Hot with the heat wave and the pain from my ulcer. But I am indoors, with fans and doors closed and I have ice cream floats and my favorite shows from Deep Space Nine to make me feel better!! :)
The heat broke in Toronto today, was out in long sleeves for sunscreen and enjoyed a long walk.
