I am very sad that I had to leave Chicago, since it is one of my favorite cities of all time and I had an absolute BLAST there during my recent vacation. But my trip home went well, and I'm safe.
I had an appointment this afternoon with the ophthalmologist and the building's parking system was down, so I got to park for free.
BTW, I was prescribed prednisolone eyedrops with the directions: "1 drop into left eye every two hours while awake." Well, it would be pretty hard to put drops in my eyes while I'm asleep! (I know it means "during waking hours," but the way it's worded is funny.)

For me, if the prescription read: "Drop into left eye while watching Sci-Fi or porn" I'd be cured in no time!

The sun finally came out!!
I got an eighth of top-shelf weed for $12.
Three chickens had escape their pen and were wandering around the backyard and I was going to film them and send to my mum and right then my sister called me about babysitting next week and so I was able to show my niece the chickens and Chuck the duck. It was such a cool moment, like the universe was watching or something.
My mom is doing okay. She had to go to the doctor, but thankfully, it is not too serious!!
Someone in my family hugged me today. Someone who has never hugged me before and it was a surprise but it also is something I will never forget and never knew how much I needed that hug from that person. I feel so loved and great right now! 
Last night at my nephew's high school drama awards ceremony - my nephew took home four awards/trophies for the work he put in in Drama/Improv class. Not bad for someone who only took up Drama his senior year.
Right now, I wouldn't mind a day where the sun didn't come out. It hasn't been under 110º most of the week.
Finally have something good. My car is repaired after sitting in my driveway for over 2 months. I wish I had switched mechanics sooner.
That's 2 good things---your car is fixed and you found a better mechanic!
My husband had a wipeout on his bike last night. What a long night that was in the emergency room. He is mostly ok just a lot of ouches to patch up. I had to go and find the stuff I needed to change all these ouches, and had a heck of a time, but I did find them! So that was something good for me!

Today is my husband's birthday. Since I was in the hospital for mine, he is sharing his birthday with me this year! Our birthdays are several months apart so this is the first time celebrating them together!!
