Surely something good happened to you today

I got a new tooth :D
Years ago I broke a molar so unfortunately that it couldn't be repaired and had to be pulled. Back then the implant technologies weren't as good as they are now, so I waited 7 years almost to the day to get the damage mended.
It feels pretty crazy to suddenly have a tooth again where the gap was. And for some reason the fake tooth feels more real than the real ones next to it LOL. I guess it'll take a while to get used to it.
Tonight I'll test the newbie on a nice steak =)

my boss takes 3 weeks off. YAY! 15 working days without a phone call or email every 10 minutes. Business trips without huge detours to bring the mail from the main office (he works in a dependancy 40 miles away). No urgent orders just when I have my lunch break. Early starts and therefore going home early (pleasant in this heat). And I can finally catch up with all my backlog. Pure bliss!

Found a copy of a Squeeze album and was very pleased to get it. Got it home and tried to rip it, only to find some skipping due to minor damage to the disc--which was from 1982. Hubby ran it through his ripping software and it sounds pretty good! Currently listening to "Tempted."

Good song. :bolian:

My team is going to start going into work Tuesday through Thursday.

It's such a huge stress relief to be able to have a change of scenery and talk to people all day.

Edit: Also they rearranged desks so everyone is staggered and distanced and I got moved to the window overlooking the spray park.

Spent the last three days getting our carpet & sheet-vinyl replaced with vinyl plank flooring.

Holy crap, I'm tired. We had to move everying from downstairs to the upstairs--then move it back. Then move everything from upstairs to first floor, and then move it back. So now it's done and even after a good night's sleep, every muscle in my body hurts.
The house is just filthy--the dust from removing the carpet, scraping the concrete, spreading leveler, etc. But I'm not even going to attempt cleaning until tomorrow. I did a bunch of sweeping yesterday, but I need to give my back a rest until I get to vacuuming and mopping. FUCK, I'm tired.

But the floors look really nice (even when covered in dust), and they're totally waterproff, which is great, because Junior inaguarated the floors by barfing on them, and because they're vinyl, I cleaned it up in seconds.

Another good thing about hard floors over carpet: I can now use my office chair to roll all around the loft area. Weee!
