Went to the dentist today for an overdue cleaning and checkup. The hygienist was covered heat to toe in multiple layers of protective gear.

They can't use the water-pik style cleaners anymore--it has to be the polisher tool. Got a great check-up, and the staff thanked me for coming, as they'd all been laid off for two months.

Got to visit the library today and I found 3 books I want to read!

Something good and increasingly rare happened. I went to bed at the normal time last night, turned off the light and put down my book. And then, with what seemed zero elapsed time, there was sunlight streaming through the blinds and a robin was making a helluva racket outside the window. It's been a long time since I had a night's sleep like that. I didn't even have to pee in the middle of the night.

It wasn't today, but I forgot to post about it at the time, so... earlier this week, on my weekly grocery outing, I actually managed to find the holiest of holy grails: Lysol wipes!!

I woke up in my own bed this morning. I like traveling, but I like coming home too.

Found the remote control for our Sunsetter awning. Hand cranking it is a bitch.

Wife and daughters attended peaceful protests and had good dialogue with all sides.

Also, saw two police just hanging out at a gas station shooting the breeze with people.

I got to drive my new car today and it had quite a work out. It did great!

I got to go to the library, only drop off and pick up, but still haven't been since March so it was so great!

Went to Target, picked up some cleaning supplies that actually have bleach in them--since my grocery store is always out of them--and talked to my neighbor when I got back--our front porches are about 6 feet away, so it's a perfect way to chat.

Then I went inside and cleaned the shower, and then all the toilets in the house. OK, I don't know if that last part qualifies as "good" but it needed to be done.

Fixed my shower door.

Good thing too, otherwise I would have had to call the contractors again (they had to come fix it earlier this week because the cleaning ladies knocked it out of whack).
