Surely something good happened to you today

Never tried any of there stuff. One of the vegan sanctuary founders I follow was raving about how good their stuff is while he was live on IG last night though. I use a lot of the Chao and Follow Your Heart cheeses, and they are fantastic.

Last year, right after we moved into the new house, my Mom sent me a box with 12 bulbs to plant in my pots on our back porch. She said it would take about a year for them to bloom. FINALLY, today, one of them did bloom.

Spent some time with my horse bestie during my bike ride. This was only the second time I've seen her a couple months, and she was being super friendly, but that did mean I came away with my shirt cover in dirt and horse snot.

Well, I had a good laugh this evening after my mother shared her blonde moment of the year.

She binge-watched the six-part Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story on Netflix. The show flashed back and forward between a younger and older Queen Charlotte (apparently). Well, my mother didn't realize until the last 5 minutes of the final episode! The entire time, she thought there were two Queen Charlottes. She said, "I wondered how they could both be Queen of England at the same time and how odd it was they had the same name!"

OMFG

So earlier today I made a decision about not having any caffeine (for health reasons). So far today I've drank 2 litres of water. Thankfully I haven't any issues - which is good. Not gonna say what is going on (but it ain't fun).

Not so much as good, but interesting - Had a customer come into the shop to have her car worked on and from her accent I could tell she was Australian; so, while she was waiting to get her car serviced I asked her what she did in Australia before she moved to the Puget Sound.

She said she had been the assistant set decorator for 'Dark City' and all three 'Matrix' films and she told me some stories about meeting the cast and keeping continuity on the set, and yes, Keanu is just as nice as the stories say he is.

Half an hour ago I walked through the door of Globe Life Field (new home of the Texas Rangers).

So now once again I can say I've seen every ballpark…at least until the A’s move to Vegas.

That's really cool.
One of the horses I visit on my bike rides who is usually scare and turns away, actually let me pet him today. It's only the second or third time I've touched him, and the first time I've done more than just barely brush my fingertip down the end of his nose.

Okay, here's the thing. . .

My location is the smallest repair shop in Western Washington for this particular chain of stores. We serviced twenty fewer cars than the number one store in April. We have some of the lowest scores regarding phone and front desk service. (My coworker and I had to take a course on phone/front counter etiquette today.) Yet, in April, we made $50,000 more than the number one store and this store last year (the year I started working the front desk) made the most out of the twelve stores in Western Washington and already passed the halfway total and it's only May and is on pace to exceed the goal set for the year. According to the conference call, by some, if not all of the metrics laid out at the beginning, this store should be failing, and we're not and Corporate can't wrap their head around it because it flies in the face of all of their computer modeling.
