I mean it sounds a lot like E. If they can psychically transfer this "state" to a Klingon, then perhaps anyone can get doped by the Vulcan mating drive if there's a reason some Vulcan would need to turn a profit?

E is a bit different than Pon Farr. E doesn't usually compel me to mate with someone...just to dance and smoke menthol cigarettes.

You might want to adopt that idea into a future Trek adventure. In the episode "Fusion", T'Pol from "Star Trek: Enterprise" once mentioned to Archer that there were few & far between sects of Vulcans ("V'tosh ka'tur" or "Vulcans Without Logic") that embraced emotion rather than the self-discipline of Surak. I'm sure there are a few individuals you could write about that Vulcan society simply "doesn't talk about."
Perhaps a sequel to "Stigma" mentioning Pa'nar Syndrome, as a result of Tolaris & others like him forcibly mind-raping Vulcans & others.

A member of the V'Shar has to track a renegade "Vulcan Without Logic" once believed long-since-dead.
