Oh, Kripke promised a massive cliffhanger in TV Guide.

I think I also know why the Angels need Dean so much. Knowing his brother's physical weaknesses and given some backup by them, they want Dean to kill Sam when he is possessed by Lucifer. Killing Sam would kill Lucifer and that would be the end of the Angels' problem. These Angels aren't the ones who want to join Lucifer like Uriel. They are the ones who feel imprisoning him was the mistake. That as long as he is locked up, he still remains a threat to Heaven, God, and creation. So when Dean got killed and Sam started obsessing about Lilith who wanted to set loose the Devil, the Angels saw their opportunity to rid themselves of Lucifer completely. I don't even think God is aware of their plan. And, in case you're wondering, Castiel warning Dean about Sam so he could try to stop him from going further down the dark path he was on, he did this without the Angels' consent. When they confronted him about it, he would make a point about them keeping Sam in a good place would make Dean grateful and maybe willing to do things when they turn to him for help. The Angels went along with it for a time and they couldn't flat-out tell Castiel their plan in fear that he may tell Dean. They already saw signs of Castiel getting a bit too close to Dean.
Eh?He's been anything but sanctimonious.
What's interesting is that Dean gets to the point (his offer to actively hunt Lilith with Sam) too late. If he made that offer originally Sam to Sam (say around the halloween episode, when Sam wasn't addicted yet) things probably would have worked fine at least in their relationship.
Othello? Otheeeeeeeeellooooooo?????? I have a season finale preview clip for you here. Just freshly released. It may be to your liking. Just a hunch.
Dean and Bobby
