Supernatural to definitely end in 2010, but...

There will most likely be a season 7 too.

It'll be without Sam and Dean Winchester. Jensen and Jared will not re-sign after season 6. They actually have the talent to have careers after Supernatural. Both of them want to get out while the show's still of good quality and there are still other viable opportunities to be had in their careers. When Vendikarr says a season 7 will be with "Coy" and "Vance" Winchester, he knows of what he speaks. Supernatural started out as an on the road horror show in truck stop America, but it became the story of the Winchester brothers and family. Is the CW desperate enough to try that? Probably.

Supernatural isn't Supernatural without Dean and Sam.
That actually depends. It Warner really, really, really wants them back and they refuse they could find their careers coming to a rather quick end since CBS and WB are affiliated.

What? Warners and CBS would blackball them in the industry? They can't do that if they both fulfill their contracts and do the required sixth season. They wouldn't do that. The CW isn't going to exist much longer. I can't believe that Ackles and Padalecki are so important to a massive studio like Warners, which has a zillion other projects than this one show, that they'd deliberately ruin the careers of two young men who fulfilled their contracts. Ackles and Padalecki will both get work after Supernatural. It's well known that both young men are extremely professional on the job and easy to get along with, not to mention extremely talented and handsome (never a detriment). There will be other studios and execs interested in hiring them. CBS and Warner aren't the only studios around.

Supernatural is important, but it's not that important that Ackles and Padalecki would be ruined by not signing for a 7th season.

I love Supernatural, I'd like to see a sixth season or maybe a handful of DTV adventures after they kick Lucifer's ass.

I can't say goodbye to Lost and Supernatural on the same week in May, 2010.

For some reason I cannot fathom, women find Patrick Dempsey attractive.
That's a mystery to me, too. Blergh. But if he looked like a 25-year-old Joe Flanigan, I still wouldn't be able to stomach Grey's. :rommie:

Hey have you checked out Defying Gravity? It answers the burning question, what if Grey's Anatomy was sci fi?

Yes, it really is that bad.

I wish it were up to Kripke. Alas, mswood speaks the truth about that and about SPN not doing well in the female 18-34 demo (hard to imagine, isn't it?) It doesn't make much money for the network, but it makes a nice chunk of change for Warners studio. Those overseas markets are incredible. But not here. All the female 18-34 Nielsen viewers insist on watching Grey's to this day. Ugh.
you know its hard for me to reply to this without slagging off the female 18-34 demo, I actually dont see why they wouldnt like it, two fairly attractive male leads, at least one of them should tempt there interest, meanwhile its a much smarter show than 90210, and the two brothers are seen having feelings, even if they dont express them in great depth.

Well sure the guys are pretty, but the show truly doesn't play to sex them up. How many scenes sans shirts? Or hell just wife beaters? Almost no sex scenes, no real romance (unless you count Dean and the car), neither character is emotional open just a ton of factors to limit the appeal to those who really only want 1. A horror films (sans the sex, which is almost all horror films are scares and sex) and 2. Those looking for a serious family drama.

Both actors will go for a sixth season (if the CW picks it up), but the talk is more about any possibility of Supernatural beyond a 6th season. And in that case both actors contracts would have expired. Both have been very vocal about how they will be very happy to not be working 9 months a year in Canada, and both are really wanting to try their hand with new characters and new material.

Studios would not hold that agains't them. Sure if they violated their contracts then they could get black listed by the studios. Which would limit the opportunities they might have normally had.

But I don't think anyone thinks that Jensen or Jared wouldn't honor their contracts.
