Supernatural Season Six: Worth another shot?

But you gave away the timeframe.

Doesn't matter. It's obvious to anyone that old Sam would return at some point. :)

I'm sure Joe Washington didn't mean to spoil it for you. But you got to learn how to automatically skip posts when you realize it is staring to have spoilers in it. Takes a bit of training. It is a skill that you have to have for the internet. ;)

As for the spoilers, mswood had a huge one. Glad you didn't see it.

just bumping the thread up a little to say the season 5 is winding down on TNT as the days progress. I was hoping they would show season 6 but I rather think it's too early.

Just watched 'Like a Virgin' with the introduction of "Mother", old-Sam returns and the whole purgatory arc.

Not bad. Hopefully they don't dwell too much on the Sam-is-back story; they over did that way too much when Dean came back from Hell.

I'm up to the episode with the UFOs/fairies. Hilarious. I'm diggin the season overall, but that may be because I'm glad for the return to slightly more episodic storytelling and because I can watch them in batches.

That mannequin episode is in my Opinion the worst of the year, and on my top ten worst ever episodes.

I'm not surprised season 6 showed up on TNT. It gets good ratings in the mornings from the show. Someone did a write up of them on supernatural.tv.

Why does it bother you so much? there was no DNA to burn? Or that you don't like how it ended?

I was thrilled, on TNT now my wife can watch what she missed....;)

I was just surprised that it showed up so quickly. I watch it at the gym while I'm on the treadmill and it generally makes the time pass a bit quicker than watching ESPN or various morning news shows.

Captain Mike

No issue with the reasons you gave. But besides Dean helping Sam process the hell memory almost everything else about the episode didn't connect we me. Thought the dialogue was weak, wasn't impressed by the acting, thought the direction and editing was very flat. Even elements I wanted to see Dean dealing with Lisa and Ben, just didn't connect with me. I also thought the 3 real separate acts of the episode were really disjointed.

Just watched The French Mistake.

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???

I mean, Changing Channels last season was fun but this was encroaching on jumping shark territory. "Misha" again stole it as the tweeting, hysterical actor just wanting to be part of the group. Overall a very self indulgent episode.

And it was nice to see "Ruby" again.

I was one of the few who absolutely loathed Changing Channels (besides a few moments here and there) and I loved French Mistake.

With Changing Channels I never felt like I was watching Sam and Dean (in all the wacky Hijinks) just watching to actors playing different roles, in French Mistake I always felt that this was Sam and Dean.
