Supernatural Season 9 (Spoilers)

They didn't abandon the convent--the Church closed it down, people stopped coming. They probably did continue--maybe even going elsewhere for awhile--- but ramped things up lately with Abaddon trying to fight Crowley for control. I assumed those bottles were just the newest ones that hadn't been "shipped off" yet, as it were.
Yeah, I suppose. It just seemed contrived while it was happening.

Anyway, I loved the Men of Letters flashbacks. I hope we get more like that. I'm hoping that they not only delve more into the history of the Men of Letters, but start getting a revival underway.

My memory grows hazy... in the earlier Men of Letters flashback episode that introduced Abaddon as the redhead... that took place after this one? She was already the demon undercover in the good guys?

I think the implication is that this incident was just days, if not hours before the massacre/time door incident.

Not hours.

Hank was still in training the other night, hadn't taken his vows yet, but acted like he was an old hand when he met his grandchildren in the future.

I'm pretty sure it was more than a few days. Abaddon wanted to learn more about the whole organization as a whole. A few days wouldn't be enough to learn how to completely destroy what had to be a worldwide network.

I may be mistaken and/or misremembering how things went down in the first flashback, but the impression I had was that they were both new to the inner circle (for lack of a better term) and this field mission was one of the last things they had to do before being fully initiated. Maybe I'm just inferring things that aren't actually there.

Logically speaking though, given how warded and careful the Men of Letters supposedly were, how long could a possessing demon go undetected among their ranks? By rights you'd think there should have been some kind of alarm spell on the door to that safe house.

They stopped making Busty Asians 8 years ago.

You'll be lucky to find yourself in possession of a copy that isn't at least third hand.

Really enjoyed this episode. I like learning more about Henry, and the relationship between Dean and Crowley is fun.

OK, that was a very interesting episode. So, now Cas gets all the cultural references, Gabriel is really dead and in heaven (darn it) and Metatron is now writing the episodes.

Darn, I totally missed this because of the new SHIELD episode that ran simultaneously. I'll have to watch it on demand. I was watching SHIELD and recording it.

Same here. I realized at the last minute that SHIELD was on at 9. I'll probably watch Supernatural tonight or tomorrow morning.

Haha, the most awesome thing just happened.

Just started the episode and while I was watching a video add popped up in the background.

It was the scene where Dean watches himself in the mirror with his scruffy, 3-day beard face while a male voices talked about how shaving is a pain for most men because of teh tough spots and sore skin conditions and then the camera cut to his Mark of Cain.

I seriously thought that was part of the episode and Metatron was having fun with us turning Supernatural into a commercial for a second!!!! :guffaw:

That was a great episode. Metatron is the best villain the show has had since Lucifier. He's like an evil Billy Crystal.
