Spoilers and discussion within, of course. Bobby and the boys hunt the Jersey Devil. Looks promising. I, of course, will have to watch later online because I'm here late at work on yet another project. Having to pay bills and having responsibility is sure cutting into my leisure time, dammit. I think Bobby is going to be fine. There hasn't been any news about the guy playing Bobby leaving the show so my hopes are up.

I am liking this Dick Roman Leviathan. He is one smart, dangerous villain who won't go down without one hell of a fight.

I do wish we get an episode that delves into Sam's mental issues instead of the occassional mention of them and Sam assuring Dean or Bobby that he has everything under control. Maybe Mental Lucifer appears before Sam in the form of someone else again or becomes a surprising helping hand to Sam out of self-preservation like Neural Chip Scorpius was to John Crichton post-Farscape Season 2.

Not a bad episode, and so not what I expected from the episode. A nice change from the last two episodes.

And people are going to kill me, but I hope Bobby is Dead. Not that I don't love Jim BEaver or the character (because Bobby is my favorite secondary character the show has ever had), but because it does two things. Really shows that anyone (well outside of Sam and Dean can be toast on the show) and it ties into the back to basics theme running through the episodes. Taking away their allies, their methods of Operation, and their resources.

And it certainly would play into both Dean's issues and I think Sam's.

Joe mentioned above that he hopes to see the show deal a little deeper with Sam's mind. And I think its going to take something to really rock him, to make him slip back, certainly the pressure of Bobby dying, Dean having to deal and all that could be a fine catalyst for it.

But I don't expect it to happen, not after them already killing Castiel, but I think it would be very, very brave of them to.

Best part of the episode was Dick Leviathan making Doctor Leviathan eat himself...I couldn't stop laughing and being grossed out.

Not sure I like the "They Live" type plot the Leviathens are embarking upon. A sedate & sleeping populace might make a great food source but doesnt exactly have them procreating very much. On the other hand Dick is a great villian for the boys to pla off of and I liked the episode as a whole.

I know it may sound odd, but I think this episode was a big clue about how the leviathans are going to be taken out: Somehow they're going to use this formula against them, causing them to mindlessly eat themselves.

Why else show us the only way for them to be destroyed? At least that's the implication that I got from the whole bib bit. I mean, if that wasn't the point, what was? They don't really feel pain from what we've seen, and having to get a new body doesn't seem all that punishing either.

And it was shown in an episode where they created a substance that makes people ravenously crave a particular type of food... and it's a project they've just decided to toss to the side in the very same episode.

I don't know. It's just what I took away from the episode.
