Supernatural 4x10 "Heaven and Hell" spoiler discussion thread

^This is why, as much as I love this show, I avoid the fandom like the plague. For me personally the show gets better and better with each passing season, I certainly don't want to see it go back to how it was in season one when it was mostly mediocre.

And, although its not my thing, I can understand slash in most fandoms but the whole Wincest thing, seriously? That's just majorly screwed up in ways I cannot verbalise.

Hello good people. Well, the reveal is tonight. Dean's time in hell, along with him and Anna testing out the double standards of the fandom. ;) Matt Roush made it his pick of the week. :bolian:

Of course my husband is home and threatening to take the remote. He thinks he will. I watch one show a week live now that Mad Men is gone for the season. He will give me this hour or he'll find his cigarettes are hiding from him.

Just tell him the board says he's not a real man if he can't allow his wife to watch the Winchestor boy kick some ass. Or for that matter to watch it himself. ;)

I am surprised, they have a usual bunch that I can predict on how they are going to feel about an episode (pretty much just from the casting), but the hatred for this episode from so many has got me worried. I mean out of 7 pages I read about 6 people who liked it, some neutral and by far teh large majority hated it.

Lots of idiots over there then....

They're so busy criticizing, not one of them caught that we were told the reason why Dean was pulled out of hell. I guess they needed it spoonfed to them because they all missed it.

I must have missed that myself... I ran to the fridge a few times for drinks and a snack.. could you elaborate??

I'm still looking for that interview, Samurai. It was all over the place about a week ago, but you know how transitory the internet is.

Okay, the ratings (keep in mind the Pittsburgh market was preempted for sports. NYC was preempted last week. It was number one. Pittsburgh is number 22 so they will drop, but not by nearly as much as last week) for last night were 4.03 million with a 1.6/4 in the demo on fast nationals. I'll post finals later when they come up. I love it. I'm reading online reviews of the ep from critics here and there. So far, all A's, one B, and one D. Guess which site's critic gave it the D? :guffaw:

I thought it was a good episode, not the best ever but there's plenty there to like.

That thing about the "fandom", this is why I've mostly started to avoid talking about the shows I watch, and just love it or hate it on my own terms. Because I've started to notice the loud vocal minority fans have started to effect my view on shows sometimes, because I start looking for the bad instead of the good.

I love this show. It's all the things I liked about Joss Whedon with none of the things I hate.

I bet Anna got knocked up with Deans kid. That would be awesome.

I was thinking that myself. It's be an interesting twist, that after all the women Dean's been with the only one he knocks up is the angel.

I still think the kid from "The Kid's are Alright" is Dean's. I think Lisa was lying to get him to back off.

I was hoping he was, and would some how tie in to the whole Dean going to hell arc, it'd have been interesting to see Dean's feelings towards leaving a kid behind.

The final ratings for last night's episode are.....

.....delayed until Monday by Nielsen. Crap on a stick. The 4.03 million in fast nationals is so promising. Everyone was waiting for the finals. Darn.

Cool. The episode is up to #5 on the I-Tunes general best sellers' list at the moment. Outstanding. That's terrific. :) Forget the sci-fi fantasy list. If only Grey's, The Office, and stupid Gossip Girl eps weren't ahead of it. Grrrrr....:scream:

I just got into Supernatural this year, what a great show. I went and picked up all 3 seasons on DVD last month during a sail. And I'm lovin them.

I liked both parts of this 2 parter. Granted it wasn't Sam and Dean heavy, but it just makes the universe that much bigger and really shows just how big this fight is.

While Ruby isn't the best actress ever, she doesn't take away too much for me. I enjoy her enough. I also hope we see more of the angel chick in the future. I obviously haven't read spoilers or anything, so I don't know what's in store for the rest of the season.

But I've liked this season a lot so far.

It's the characters. You can't help but be invested in what happens to them. Plus, the introduction of angels, though controversial, lends itself to some great theological discussions since he didn't go the Roma Downey route with them.

Yes, they're really great characters, they're why I'm watching. Seeing them involved in a giant story, which has been this season so far, I like a lot more than season 1's demon of the week thing. I'm only up to Season 2 in the dvds, so I have all that to watch during hiatus.

Yeah, while season one was very formulaic, the characters were still good enough to keep me interesting. Well, okay, Dean was. Sam was pretty lame back in season one.

Welcome aboard, JW. :techman:
