He apparently took Tony Scott's lead when Tony called the original PELHAM 123 film garbage in the commentary for his remake of it. Coming from the maker of DOMINO, that's irony.
I watched the Super/Man documentary about Christopher Reeve a few days ago (its on Max now), and I'd 100% recommend it. Its a fascinating and emotional look at the man and his legacy, and I'll admit the last 15ish minutes had me tearing up. I like a lot of the Supermen we've gotten, but he'll always be THE Superman to me.
