News Superman: The Animated Series coming to blu-ray

I’ve actually never watched an episode of the series. I’ve seen a few scenes here and there but that’s it. How does it compare to Batman: The Animated Series?

It's been awhile, but I remember it being as good as B:TAS. It has the same animation style and a fantastic voice cast: Tim Daly as Clark, Dana Delany as Lois, Clancy Brown (who I adore) as Lex, and the awesome Michael Ironside as Darkseid. They did some cool stuff with Darkseid and the Fourth World.

I've been looking forward to this since they did B:TAS (and thought it was a sure thing after Batman Beyond's BR release), and have been waiting for the official announcement since, well, I googled it to see if it was out yet and saw that they'd remastered it to debut on HBO Max. Excited to have a complete set of the DCAU in HD (except Static Shock, I guess. Is Static Shock on blu ray? How was Static Shock?).

I'm sure it's a little late for requests, but it'd be nice if, unlike the DVDs, they used the movie-edits of "Last Son of Krypton" and "World's Finest" instead of splitting them into three episodes, and I'd love it if they'd include the Batman/Superman combined title sequence, at least as an extra.

Though I suppose recreating it in HD would be a good exercise, personally....

I have the show on DVD so I'm not going to double dip, but I'm glad its getting a Blu Ray release. Its a great show, and easily my favorite piece of Superman media.
