Superman (casting, rumors, pix till release)

I was kind of surprised they didn't work her into the New52 Superman stories in some manner.

I thought they would with a bit about Clark having to pick up Lois' cousin at the airport (but didn't get around to it due to his Supermanning around.) I suspect they still can introduce Chloe but since Supes is hooking up with Wonder Woman right now, Chloe seems like -and forgive me- a step down.
 
I just think they gave up on trying to do anything with Chloe in the DCU/52'Verse. Those back up stories were kind of boring to be honest anyway and didn't bring anything to the character. Besides which we still have Chloe proper in Season 11 thanks to Bryan Miller and that's enough for me :)

Not nuts about the costume but saw the full trailer on TV the other day and the movie looks like it could be a winner. Fingers crossed.
 
I actually like the weird blue mesh look of the costume, but I think the red "S" would look better with a smoother texture. Either way, I've never been a huge Superman fan, and this actually looks like something I want to check out.
 
Why is it that super-hero costumes have to look like kick balls? I've never understood the argument. Something about texture? Well why doesn't everyone's clothes look like a kick ball?
 
It looks nothing like a Rob Liefeld drawing. Although it has probably been air brushed...still liking everything that I've seen from this film so far.

Wow, I've never seen these either. For a rubber muscle suit, it actually looks pretty decent (and much better than some of the concept artwork and wacky prototypes that we've seen for this movie).

Still though, it does look awfully weird on Nicholas Cage.

Because... it looks cool? And much more interesting than thin tights or smooth rubber?
