Or Metropolis being Vancouver in "Smallville"![]()
Clearly they're racebending if Clark isn't played by a Kryptonian.
Ha ha, nope.Who has star power? Amy Adams? Not more than Erin Karpluk thats for sure. What's wrong with Amy Adams? Erin Karpluk (if that's who I assume you're talking about) is hot and a great actress but is an unknown and would be something of a risk to play Lois Lane. Amy Adams is attractive, is a great actress and has name and star power. I don't get your reasoning and think you're just slagging the actress for no particular reason.
Do you by chance post on another board where you complained about a "no-name" actress like Laura Prepon getting the role on Castle of the actress playing Nikki Heat over a "big time A-list star" like Jewel Staite?![]()
Christopher Reeve was a complete unknown when he was cast as Superman.I'll bet you no one outside of Canada or anyone else who watches "Being Erica" knows who Erin Karpluk is and most people will know Amy Adams from "Enchanted" which launched her career. Amy also has an Oscar nomination (and yes I know Erin has won Gemini Awards ) so I don't know how you can claim Amy doesn't have star power. If she didn't, she wouldn't be in the running for the role in the first place.
Look it's obvious you're against this film (you've already stated that it's going to bomb and have been critical of Synder which is all well and good) I just don't see how your points have any merit at all.
I find her akin to an old hag, sorry. I made it quite clear upthread what I meant by my comment. You're not talking about Superman though, you specifically singled out Amy Adams who is playing Lois Lane. That's fine if you don't think the production isn't making good decisions but calling Amy Adams an Old Hag is off base.
Funny, how people complained that Bosworth was too young, and now Adams is somehow too old. I think she is the perfect age, because LL shouldn't be a reporter who is fresh out of college starting the job, but someone who knows the ropes and has connections.
I don't know how this film is going to be as good as the 1978 Richard Donner version, let alone his version of(as well as the cinematic edition of)1980's Superman II.
All I can say is this. They should replace Kevin Costner with another actor to play Jonathan Kent.
Let alone find an American actor to play The Man Of Steel.
No offense to Henry Cavill(or whatever his name is), but having a British actor play the Son of Jor-El doesn't seem like the right fit.
The same could be said for this American actor playing General Zod.
There's an Australian playing Wolverine and another playing Thor, an Englishman playing Batman and another playing Spider-man, The Joker has been played by an Australian, Ra's Al Ghul and the Scarecrow were played by Irishmen, Mr Fantastic by a Welshman, The Red Skull by an Australian ... but you object to the casting of Kryptonians by an Englishman and American, respectively? Riiiiiiiiiight ....

Or Australia in Superman Returns.![]()
Parts of Superman Returns was filmed in Sydney, Australia, and some minor landmarks in Sydney can be identified such as Martin Place, when Superman catches the car.
