Although I guess it's no worse than the various Lois Lanes playing the mothers of newer Lois Lanes who then get intimate with or married to Clark/Superman (Noel Neill -> Margot Kidder; Phyllis Coates -> Teri Hatcher -> Erica Durance).

The Costner stuff was just rumors to be honest. The report was that Warner Bros/DC ENT were looking at him, that there had been no actual talks Since we've heard nothing since last week on it I'll continue to think it's a rumor.
