Yes, Harrison Ford is playing Alternate Version Clark and Jessica Alba is playing alternate version Lois. People are complaining Jessica Alba is too old to play Lois to Harrison Ford's Superman

You know, my favorite Perry White was Lane Smith in the first year of Lois And Clark - he was entertainingly eccentric.

The characterization that matched up best with the way the character was portrayed in the comics for forty-odd years was John Hamilton's.

I'd have a hard time picking between Hamilton, Cooper, and Smith myself. They each brought very different qualities to the character but were all equally good.

I didn't think much of White in the Reeve Superman movies - the character was written as a sort of pompous buffoon; some of his dialogue was clever but other bits were so clumsy it sounded improvised on-set. And White's barely there in Singer's film.
