I hate the new suit... Hollywood isn't fooling me... I know they really wanted to just make the fucking thing black, so why not just do that, instead of this overused fetish they have for muting all the colors into submission, and adding the retarded alligator bag texture to it? Even the new Spidey suit has the stupid alligator bag look to it.
And this guy Cavil does NOT look like a Superman to me at all, let alone a convincing Clark Kent. Then again, the guy they got for Spidey is also miscast, IMO. But like I told a friend, I have no intention of seeing either film, so it is what it is, and I'll let those who do see them enjoy them in peace.

Holy shit, I've never seen so much drama over one fucking picture.
There was far more drama here over the Superman Returns Suit.
The picture got me excited for the new movie. Did it's job well.

The Superman Returns suit though was still pretty darn colorful.
I just hate the trend with new superhero flicks where the colors have to be darkened so much... we get it already... "Oooohhh, this version of (random superhero here) is darker, moodier, more emo and angst-ridden, and we're too stupid to know it without the suit also being dark"... I mean, come on... just make the suit all black, and get it over with... after all, I thought Hollywood is all bent on forgetting everything that came before, and rebooting stuff?
I loved Superman Returns, and quite frankly, Brandon Routh looks a helluva lot more like a Superman to me than Henry Cavil does... this guy just doesn't have the 'Supes look, IMO. So for me, Superman Returns was my nuSupes... I don't need to see yet another reboot/origin story, and I don't need to spend money on a movie that feels it has to "undo" everything Superman Returns did.
But again, that's just me... many of my friends are very much looking forward to this, and will see it. That's fine. But Based on what I've seen and know so far... it's not my thing.

I'm digging the new pic! Cavil looks the proper age, and I'm loving that they're actually using the Golden Age "S" design! (or what people my age would call the "Earth-Two" Superman's "S".)
