Supergirl TV Series is being work on.

So this happen, the shows will never cross over.

Speaking during the Television Critics Association press tour—via USA Today writer Gary Levin—CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler has confirmed that Supergirl will absolutely not cross over with the CW’s DC shows. However, adverts for Flash and Arrow will run during Supergirl, and vice versa for shows on the CW.

Would you like to provide a link?

Because the reports I have seen on her comments make it clear that while storyline crossovers are not currently being talked about, the possibility of such crossovers at some point has by no means been ruled out.

That article claims that she said that, but without actually providing evidence that she said it.

Conversely, you have the following quotes directly from her that have been reported on by numerous outlets, including TVLine:
1)
“We have not had conversations about [storyline] crossovers” between the freshman drama Supergirl and The CW’s own DC Comics-based series, Arrow and The Flash, “but we are doing crossover promotions. So you will see promotional crossovers” — meaning, ads for Supergirl airing on The CW and vice versa — “but not in terms of the characters.”

2)
“You really have to be respectful and mindful of what each universe says you can and can’t do. Obviously, we’re working very closely with DC, and our [Supergirl] producer, Greg Berlanti, is the poster child for this field. Right now, we’re not doing it [storyline-wise]…. But we’ll always stay open.”

(Emphasis mine)

These comments very much contradict the claim made by i09 and referenced by Tom Hendricks that she completely ruled out the possibility of crossovers between Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl ever happening, particularly when I've yet to see any actual sourced quotes to back up said claim.

Yeah I've never gotten the sense that the CBS execs have ruled the idea out for good, or are dead set against it. They just don't think now is the right time to pursue something like that, and would rather Supergirl stand on it's own for a while.

Which I think is totally the right decision.

IGN has the same quote, and said that she does seem more open to it than she used to be.

There's nothing in what she said that is in any way inconsistent with what she'd previously said, or that is inconsistent with anything that Greg Berlanti has said, so I don't know why IGN would assume that anything's changed relative to the potential status of crossover potential between the "Super"-verse and the "Flarrow"-verse.

"Justice Leak." That sounds like it should be a story title. Like, there's some kind of metaphysical rift in the universe causing the justice and fairness to leak out, and Supergirl must find a way to plug it.

Supergirl never really had a good stable of villains to work with.

At least not that were exclusively her own.

The Linda Danvers Supergirl is really the only version of the character with a significantly 'exclusive' rogues gallery of her own, and even then it wasn't all that expansive.

Buzz and the Carnivore were probably the only worthwhile villains from that iteration.

The Sterling Gates one had her mother probably as her most major antagonist .

I think the just cancelled volume had Cyborg Superman featured, but was more known for having Maxima and Silver Banshee being her friends.

Arrow had the same problem. Marc Guggenheim said the other day that "Green Arrow doesn't have a villain's bench. At best, they have a villain's love seat." Basically Merlyn and Count Vertigo are his main villains. Which is why Arrow has relied so heavily on Batman foes like Deadshot and Ra's, Teen Titans foes like Deathstroke and Brother Blood, Waller and the Suicide Squad, etc.

I hope Supergirl doesn't rely too heavily on existing comics characters. They should be free to create their own villains; maybe they could add one or two new, memorable characters to Supergirl's rogues' gallery, characters that could then be added to the comics and maybe even later adaptations, the way Livewire did after she was introduced in Superman: TAS. (And others, of course, but she's the one who's actually appearing in this show.)

Berlanti and Co. have already added one new villain to Supergirl's rogues gallery who exists solely in their own mythology in the form of
The General
, and, depending on how long he sticks around and how he's utilized, The Commander could end up joining that category as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more original characters pop up in future and would love to see that happen, but at the same time, it does make sense for them to take as much advantage of the "Super" property as they can.

Yeah I'm not bothered by the reliance on Superman villains at all, given that the two are related and have often taken on the same villains in the comics and cartoons as well. And it's not like most of these villains have ever been seen in live action before anyway.

The only character I might draw the line on is Luthor, just because it's hard to imagine that Superman wouldn't take notice if his arch-enemy was giving his cousin a hard time for an extended period in another city.
