Supergirl TV Series is being work on.

Well Berlanti DC is doing well, not so much the other stuff--though the Teen Titians series looks like it could be promising. But Constantine is dead, and Gotham is really going to have to turn things around if it's going to make it past next season.

Also, I think "dominate" is too strong a word. Arrow and Flash are doing well, but not that well. And Supergirl is really going to have to up the ante if it's to stay on the air more than a season or two. It's going to be what's probably the most difficult network for a genre show to succeed on.

And with six series to on the air by the start of 2016 (seven if Berlanti can still convince CW to pick-up Constantine), there is the risk of oversaturation. From a fan stand-point, it's not the big of a deal in the era of DVRs and post-airing streams, but those don't sell the big ad-buys.

I think they should have taken a page from Marvel and tried to sell Legends to Netflix/Hulu/Amazon.

Flash is destroying SHIELD in the ratings on Tuesday. Arrow is such a strong show. Supergirl has the money of CBS. Gotham, it's messy, but fun still and Constantine is being shopped to other places. Plus, Legends of Tomorrow is coming this year. So, yes dominating TV, I think is the right work. A great time to be a geek.

So it's Batboy v Supergirl: Dawn of Timeshifting. :D

I don't think so. The thing about having bits of a shared universe on different networks or sources is that they generally need to stay relatively separate, since they'll have somewhat different audiences and be under somewhat different executives and teams. Look at the MCU -- theoretically it's all connected, but nothing in Agents of SHIELD gets mentioned in the movies, Daredevil is off in its own little corner of the world, etc. And years back, when Buffy and Angel were on the same network, they crossed over heavily, but as soon as Buffy switched to a different network, the crossovers largely halted and the shows went more in their own separate directions.

What I'm finding really cool about The Flash and Arrow is how intimately intertwined they are, how frequently and casually you see elements and characters from one show dropping in on the other. A show on another network or on Netflix, even if it were nominally in the same universe, wouldn't have that same close, routine connection. It would have to be off in a corner of the universe that only occasionally or distantly overlapped. Now, granted, too many shows sharing a tight-knit reality could get overcomplicated; even with just two shows, the appearance of the Arrow in last night's Flash was contrived and puzzling in the context of what's simultaneously happening on Arrow. But I think they could probably pull it off, for the most part, with three shows, though four or more might be pushing it. At least I'd like to see them try.

^ I think this is what excites me as well. So far the writers on Flash and Arrow have done a fabulous job of interweaving things. It helps that the creatives behind the shows are the same and now with Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow coming from the same time, I have no doubt the crossovers and references will work. I don't envy them the task of keeping it all together, I'm imagining massive flow charts!

Hardly. Last night was Shield's all-time low and only lost to Flash by a few hundred thousand.

But you didn't say "dominating Marvel" you said "dominating TV." Last night NCIS (also at an all-time low), did better than twice of Flash and Shield combined.

It looks great. Genuinely witty and clever, on that clip. Benoit is as charming and likeable here as in Whiplash. This all bodes well.

I loved that trailer. The tone was right, and it was sprightlier than the dark promo shots.

I think this can go up against Gotham quite easily; they're very different shows.

I have to admit it's a bit more cutesy and "chick flicky" than I was expecting (almost reminding me of the recent WW pilot at times), but it still looks like the potential is there for a really cool show.

And Benoit does seem to make for an incredibly charming and likeable Supergirl, which is the most important thing.

I'm mixed about the video. All the normal person stuff was just about as generic as possible. A really annoying, generically snobby boss, the office romance, etc. It also looks like we'll get the friend/family member who doesn't want her to be a hero, the generic (possibly smart and/or nerdy, but not always) friend who knows the secret, the "will she quit" sub plot, and the agressivly anti-hero authority (the military in this case, instead of angry cop #3455667).

Kara also gave me a Felicity vibe at times (in the last civilian scene in the trailer I thought it actually was a shot of Felicity, it looks like Supergirl stole her wardrobe), and that's the last thing you want in a superhero, or really any character. Its not like the Flash/Arrow guys always succeed. This could be more of a Green Lantern style flop than a Flash level success. The action was pretty good, though, so there is that. I'll definitely watch it, but I'm less hopeful for it after seeing the trailer. Hopefully it has less generic "woman working in the big city" stuff and less superhero story cliches than the trailer implies, and hopefully Kara has more of a personality. It could go either way really, I was just very unimpressed with the trailer.

I thought the first two minutes looked terribly cliched but the rest, pretty good! I just hope they don't overdo the my cousin this, your cousin that. Having him mentioned every two minutes without him ever showing up on the show... please no. (Smallville and costume, anyone?)

That was a very lengthy and impressive first look. I almost feel as if I've seen all the high points of the first episode or two.
Luckily there are things called DVR's that allow me to see this and Gotham. However, Gotham is going to likely have the same type situation AoS did from start of S1 viewers to start of S2 and Fox isn't beholden to a larger corporate scheme so S2 is important. I see Supergirl hurting it for people bailing and not DVR'ing it.
AoS still has a healthy DVR number and it's total viewers per episode is higher than Flash, only it's Demo has dropped.

Looks great.

Apparently, unlike our own "Earth Prime," on DC's Earth commercial air travel is accident-ridden and incredibly dangerous.

Kinda feels to me like they're trying to go for the same fun, lighthearted vibe as Lois and Clark. Especially with that scene of her trying on the costumes.
