Supergirl TV Series is being work on.

I see this show having the same chance of happening as that Wonder Woman show on NBC a year or two back.

CW was working on a WW series and now she is in B v S. As much as I would love a series, I see Supergirl ending up in a future DCCU movie MoS II, JL or with success of GoTG how about a LoSH movie?

A few months ago, the guys that are working on Man Of Steel 2 were on Twitter. I tweeted them saying, I wonder what Superman reaction will be if he meet Supergirl in Man Of Steel 3.

Supergirl is coming to a cable or broadcast Television network in the near future; Probably a year or two, maybe least?
There had never been a Supergirl television series, only a movie. Which didn't do well at the box office.

Looking forward to this if it pans out.

While the 1984 "Supergirl" film wasn't as great as it should have been, Helen Slater gave her all in the role. Indeed, she also looked pretty hot in the costume.

I'm hoping they get an actress that has the charisma and looks as Slater.

In season 5 of Arrow... And they're finally willing to admit a Man of Steel Cross over, and Brandon is still around as the Atom pulling dodgy crap, is the actor going to like have some sort of vicious panic attack?

I was watching Legend of the Superheroes last night and a comedian was doing a bit about the Atoms secret finance. I shit my pants. It turned out to be Giganta and not Jean Loring, but does the introduction of the Atom mean that we have an Identity Crisis down the line eventually?

That's part of the reason I dislike on some level shows revolving around Superman. You just can't do that level of power justice on a TV budget.

We saw Clark do some pretty impressive stuff on Smallville and it's unlikely she'll need to move skyscrapers ans stop earthquakes every week.

I just hope it doesn't take them eight years to introduce the Legion of Superheroes like it did on Smallville... I'm pretty sure that a few versions of Supergirl has belonged to the Teen Titans.

Well, in the sense that it has the same chance as any pilot. Many pilots don't get picked up, and we don't hear about most of them; it's just that the WW pilot was higher-profile than most because of its subject matter.

Anyway, that pilot didn't fail because it was about a DC superheroine; it failed because it was a poor match of talent to concept, because the network wanted a David Kelley-style show more than it wanted a proper Wonder Woman show. There's no reason to assume the same pattern would hold here.

In truth we don't know why the pilot wasn't picked up, but given the odd amount of press and the many changes the network made in the pilot it was odd that it wasn't picked up.

David owns that Wonder Woman costume.

He made Erica Durance wear it in an Episode of Harry's Law.

:)

The Wonder Woman Pilot was Horrible because it didn't make sense, and didn't try to explain or justify anything that was happening.

Last 2 things David did was The Crazy Ones and Monday Mornings.

Both cancelled quickly,

I just finished watching a Youtube adaptation of Geoff Johns Teen Titans #1 starting with a flashback to Graduation where a Superman duplicate (Robot) heatvision murders Donna Troi (the Original Wonder girl). It's amazing how some people can do this just for the love of it when others can't while playing with millions and millions of dollars.

The Wonder Woman pilot needed tweaking but then it really wan't meant to be seen by the general public. Still it was better than the JLA pilot.

I will subject myself to a screening of the whole Supergirl film if a pilot is even produced.

(Okay, no, I won't. But I still don't think there'll be one. :rommie:)

I think the pilot needed a LOT more than just tweaking. Everything from the tone to the dialogue to the costume was completely off, and would have taken a lot of work to get right.

Heck, even for a light and comedic David Kelley show it was severely lacking.

LOVE the 1984 film.

But I also happen to suspect that DC/WB doesn't know what the hell it's doing. They ran the Reeve and Burton Superman/Batman franchises into the ground before Nolan came along to rescue them. They clearly have no idea what to do with Superman since both attempts at a Superman revival came with two controversial films that failed to unite fans the way Nolan's Bat films did. They're not tying in the Arrow series to the new films.

The whole thing stinks of clueless suits.

If you thought Adrianne Palicki's outfit is off, I can't imagine what you think of Gal Gadot's outfit in the Batmna VS Superman movie. And it pretty dark at times but that's commonplace anymore.

I loved the second costume that Adrienne Palicki wore in the unaired WW pilot. (Where she kicked everyone's asses in trying to get to Liz Hurley)That was the WW look I knew. :)

^ Yep. Especially given Supes' centrality to the DCCU, I don't see this project actually getting produced

I have two facts to present that lead me to believe that anybody who thinks that there's going to be any restrictions on what can or can't exist on television simultaneously with what is going to or could potentially exist on film with regards to DC properties is greatly mistaken:
1) The fact that none of DC's current projects are in any way connected with the exception of Arrow and Flash, which, in the end, are only connected to one another because they're spin-offs of each other

2) The fact that the producers of FOX's Gotham were given complete unrestricted access to the entire Batman-related library of DC Comics' characters (including Batman himself AND characters [Ra's al Ghul, Deathstroke, Deadshot, etc.] who have already appeared or been 'name-dropped' on Arrow) even though Batman and other related characters are going to play pivotal and central roles in the currently-unfolding DCCU.

I actually love the new Gadot costume. My issue with Palicki's wasn't so much the design, it was just that it looked so damn simple and cheap.

I personally think that this is a terrible idea. Supergirl at her best is not a stand alone character. She only works when Superman is around to serve as a mentor. After all, unlike Clark, Kara did not grow up on Earth and arrives as a teen/young adult. She usually requires the presence of Clark and or the Kents to ground prepare her for an earthly existence.

There are characters that are better suited to a solo existence. Supergirl was likely only chosen for the name recognition.

I missed the reveal.

"Mulling"

Too Xena.

"This is not two doubleues, it's the Amazonian symbol for castration."

@Gotham Central:
There's nothing that says that a Supergirl series will exist without stuff like the Kents, Superman, etc.
