It is FABULOUS!
I really hope the show does well & I
Melissa as Kara/Supergirl!

I'm sure that's only to focus on the \S/.![]()
Sure, but when an image of a woman is presented that way, there's an element of objectification that isn't there with a man. I'm reminded of a rather infamous panel from DC's Cry for Justice in 2009, which was widely criticized for gratuitously focusing on Supergirl's breasts and cutting off her head, while the male heroes standing behind her were all shown full-length. It's a rather unfortunate image to remind people of.
Eh, seems pretty innocuous to me, given that there's nothing revealing about the costume at all. And the focus clearly seems to be on the costume itself over just her chest or whatever.
That said, I do really like this new version a lot better:

There is not reason why they couldn't zoom out just enough to at least show her face. I can understand wanting to focus on the S shield, but there are better ways to do it.Short little video on the first day of filming. And apparently the episode is going to start with a pretty spectacular and action-packed sequence, which should be fun to see.

Good grief, what is with that promotional banner image they're using that cuts off her head and focuses on her chest? That's an unfortunately male-gazey way to promote a show like this. Her eyes are up there, guys!
2. The alternate (comics) costume design is a smaller El Sigil on just her left breast, which is exclusivist and breastist against righty. Poor righty.
He's hit or miss with me. Mostly miss these days.Just that book, or everything Peter David has written?
