When Alex bumped into Becca, I started to thinking about the folks who may heard heard stories about Alex and Kara working together, or have seen them. Eventually, Alex might bump into someone who remembers Alex and Kara in a situation she doesn't remember at all...
Yes, that's easy enough to extrapolate, but I'm talking from a story-structure perspective. It's awkward to set up a tease like that and fail to pay it off in some way by the end of the episode. It felt like they just forgot about it midway through. It's another thing that makes it feel like parts of Lena's subplot were sloppily edited out this week.
