Spoilers Supergirl - Season 2

Gotta say, as much as I love Cavill's conflicted Superman I did really get a huge kick out of seeing a happier and more optimistic Superman again. Just something about the cheery way he said "absolutely!" that felt so right.

And seeing the two characters on screen together was pretty awesome too.

I didn't see him being any of those things in the clip. Dopey is in the eye of the beholder I guess, but I saw no bungling or clumsiness.

They use the bumping into a stranger as short-hand for that - it's the only reason it would be in there.

Not seen enough of his Superman to comment but that doesn't look like a very interesting Clark Kent from the little we see of that performance (the actor seems good however).

Clark is supposed to be the opposite of interesting so that no one suspects that he is Superman.

Tuxedo vs. Gown.

(Traditionally) Men clump together in the rear as a shadowy wallpaper, so that (traditionally) Women are a mess of interesting exotic colours with bizarre shapes and cuts.

The tuxedo takes one for the team, so that the gown can score hard.

It looks so exciting! And a Clark Kent/Superman that everyone likes/respects/loves! Imagine that!

Or whatever?
Who says, she shaves any of that?
Have we seen those bodily areas of her?

I just thought, while an age old superman question in itself, it was a clever meta comment about the dan's reactions to the first promotion picture of him with a bit of a 5 o'clock shadow.

Boots above the knees, dark stockings.

Kara, wore other clothes though too.

Kryptonians seem to be a much older civilization than humans, so if they were monkeys a few million years ago more than us, or not even monkeys at all, then they may or may not grow hair in the same places we do.

If you're wondering how he eats and breathes and other science facts...

I think all of these questions are telling us that we really need some new episodes.

The line was probably written before that photo was released. As Averof's links demonstrate, the question of how Superman shaves has been on the minds of fans for decades, and Winn is nothing if not a surrogate for fandom.

Did any maps in season 1 show a specific geographic placement for National City?

I am very late getting back to this topic, but...

I don't remember which episode it was in, (Hero For A Day, perhaps) but I capped this off the TV back when we were discussing the subject during S1. By the time I got around to uploading it the subject had moved on as it has here but, there you go.

Thanks! I don't know California...where is this near?

National City is 2 hours away from Montecito (Santa Barbara), California, which makes it a stand-in/substitute for Los Angeles.

Apologies if this has been posted already. Here is a 2mn clip from the season premiere showing both superman and supergirl together. I got goose bumps. Awesome clip!

Okay, I love Clark. Give him his own show, now. :)

I'm sure the resistance to the old Superman suit is simply because the red Speedo looked ridiculous, even in a superhero comic. Everyone had evolved, after all, in both design and color, except for Clark.
