Spoilers Supergirl - Season 2

Byrne was more than aware what would happen if he eliminated Superboy. He even had a plan that didn't require it. DC Editorial said go ahead and eliminate Superboy. Byrne asked about the impact on the LSH and Editoral told him don't worry about it they'll handle it.
I dont think PG was set up as Superman`s cousin in COIE. At the end they're mourning the deaths of the E-2 Superman and the E-1 Supergirl. They recall them and the old continuity. The end of COIE presents a very different universe than the one we see in Man of Steel and other books that started after COIE.

I didn't realize that story--I always assumed that it was an error on Byrne's part. I need to go back and read COIE but I do remember that it ends in as the effects to the timeline are still stabilizing. I'm pretty sure though that the scene with Power Girl and Superman strongly indicates that she just takes over Power Girl's role in the new world.

An off bit of Lore from Green Lantern, some of the lanterns were protected from the Original Crisis juggle, that once the Universe figured out what it looked like by 1986, 1987, these Laterns came from planets that had historically never existed.

All we see is Superman and Power Girl in front of the Fortress of Solitude (Silver Age version)

The E-2 Robin and Huntress are still remembered as well, but forgetten when the new continuity begins in earnest. Lori Lemaris is also no longer dead Post Crisis. As i said it was very different than what take hold post COIE.

Which Lanterns? For the trivia purposes / filling in gaps here..... interesting stuff. GL always has tons of little jokes with their GLs, though, like the ones named after Lensmen.

If you look it up, DCIf you look it up, DC has had a Vulcan green lantern. even had a vulcan Green lantern.

But they do military cops "Military Police".

That said, I prefer the name Special Crimes Unit as well.

Which makes sense, because MPs actually police the military. Just like State/City police police their state or city.

I'm really not clear at all on how someone is ever supposed to 'police' science...

Whenever I hear the name "Science Police" I'm reminded of a joke from the old 'Earthworm Jim' cartoon.
"You're right! This IS a violation of the laws of physics! I'll make sure to notify the Physics Police at once!"

So yeah, I think Special Crimes Unit sounds a lot less silly and more like that thing that could actually exist.

It may sound silly as hell, especially out loud...but the first time I hear it, I'll still squeee....because, LLL.

In the 70s, I doubt that they thought about it much more than you weren't allowed to be a science cop without a PHD, but on this side of history, I'm guessing that all police are CSI.

And really after watching 30 seasons of CSI, what (even in the present) exactly are regular cops actually good for beyond directing traffic during rolling black outs?

If Science Police were a real thing there's no chance in hell Legends of Tomorrow would be legally allowed to exist. :D

Science police sounds like something out of Anime (after they did give us a Science Ninja team so why not Science Police?).

Science Police makes me think of this.

Should've stuck with Special Crimes Unit

Getting shot by perps in the line of duty so the main characters can go all vengeful.

Getting shot by one of the main characters by mistake so they can get all angsty/butt up against Internal Affairs

Being corrupt and therefore giving the mains something to moralize about.

Waiting patiently in the background until one of the mains says "Officer!" and then they cuff the perp.

Occasionally being a hookup for a horny main or a source of UST that indicates said cop will be dead in the next episode (or sometimes this one)
