Spoilers Supergirl - Season 2

I can understand Cisco's difficulty finding Supergirl's Earth. He really doesn't have anymore direction than what the Flash can provide, and universes (or even just Earths) are big places. The H.R. situation was much different. He knew the exact physical location of the original probe, and he was probably checking (tracking) when receiving the return message from H.R.

Well, I dunno about that. All three portals formed in proximity to where Kara was -- twice in her apartment while she was in or near it, once in L Corp's lobby while she was there. I'm guessing that Cisco "vibes" Barry to get a vision of Supergirl from Barry's past visit, and then uses that vibe to home in on Kara. Which is something I don't think he's tried before, certainly not across 37 universes, so it might take a few tries to get it right.

They were not aiming at Kara's Earth but at Kara. All portals showed up near her. So I wonder what Barry told Cisco to home in on her like that.

Edit: ninja'ed

Barry navigates via feelings and instinct.

He "wills" to go places/times and then magically arrives exactly where he wanted to be.

No math at all.

No math...but he does have to perform a flashdance to get in the mood:

I don't know why the show always cuts that part out.

The bar is a secret so no one knows about it and the rest of the aliens don't want to reveal its location.
It doesn't have to be public or advertised anywhere. After that horrible attack, there ought to be a moment of mourning. And I would imagine Kara, Alex, and especially Maggie would be there. Maybe Maggie ‘almost died’ when she got what later looked like a superficial wound, but there was a massacre that would call for more attention.

* They killed all the alien patrons in the bar, and there was no vigil scene? Ugh.

Are you kidding? This series barely acknowledges all of the collateral damage caused by the super-powered characters--including human victims.

Does Lena know Kara is Supergirl, or does she simply have a crush on her? King Mon-El's ruining the whole thing for her.

Kara has not been established, presented or even hinted at being a lesbian, so Mon-El (contrived as that "romance is") cannot "ruin" anything.

Cat Grant should make a short appearance, where she accidentally praises Kara for her work as Supergirl.

Why is that even important? Cat Grant has been gone for several episodes, and the series is not missing her. Grant learning SG's identity does not help the various plots at all.

The bar is a secret so no one knows about it and the rest of the aliens don't want to reveal its location.

That--and the series never has much follow up about victims.

No, it was just your typical scene where someone just stands there during an iminent attack only to be saved by the hero.

...instead of...you know...running away as fast as possible.

I hope it doesn't become a running joke on this show that nobody cares about secondary-character or background-character deaths. They might as well all be wearing red shirts.

Agreed.

As a virgin, and a moron, Kara doesn't know for sure what the hell she wants sexually.

And I'm not just talking about gender.

What about Species?

Maybe Supergirl doesn't dig humans as much as she thinks that she does?

So the hooded figures we saw at the end of the episode last night, are they the dominators?

Sorry if that might sound like a dumb question.

I just rewatched the opening to S02e04 "Survivors" where I counted 8 Daxamites, alive and dead, including Mon-El and "the prince" on screen, but that wasn't real, it was a story Mon-El was telling to "Skirt".

My bad. I thought they had pudding faces.

But those are masks that they are wearing.

However, the two in charge do sound autotuned like Goul'd from Stargate, and they called Mon-El "Mon-El of Daxam" which is a weird thing to call him if they are also from Daxam. I mean, did all the other Cimmerians call Conan: Conan The Cimmerian?

Durlans maybe? They've got some history on Earth, have been known to the "cloaked figure" routine and come in a red flavour (*known as "The Futurists" in believe).

The promos keep referring to the "4-Day Heroes vs Aliens crossover event", but the events of this episode of Supergirl could be more accurately described as "Evil Humans vs Aliens"...

So the hooded figures we saw at the end of the episode last night, are they the dominators?

Unlikely, since they were humanoid (i.e. actors in costume), and the Dominators are pure CGI. Also, they spoke verbally and the Dominators only seem to speak telepathically. Also, these Dominators, like many fictional aliens, are nudists. The producers originally planned on giving them the green robes they wore in the comics, but once they decided to go full CGI, it proved too difficult to animate the fabric of the robes.
