Suicide Squad part 2 vs Guardians of the Galaxy part 3. Which Gunn movie your most interested in?

Neither and both.
Same here. Major lack of interest in the DCCU generally, as they've made such a pigs ear of it. Guardians surprised me by being a lot better than I expected, but if they'd had the team split in Endgame and left it there, I wouldn't have been upset.

It would be almost amusing if after all that's happened, Guardians 3 succumbs to the "third in a trilogy" curse and ends up sucking
(that's a joke btw, really hope that doesn't happen!)

Still kinda confused by the "reboot" thing of SS2. I mean I know Deadshot has been recast, but that's only because Will Smith isn't coming back, whereas at least Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney are. Well I think MR hasn't been 100% confirmed but its rumoured at least.

So I'm guessing they just been a soft reboot as in the tone and look of it, and the plot won't be like a direct sequel. Kinda like what Wrath of Khan was to The Motion Picture. A sequel and in the same universe yes, but basically nothing to do with it besides the further adventures of the same characters.

At least that's what I hope for. An actual 100% reboot not in the same continuity and introducing them all and the set up again would be stupid.

Personally, I'm taking the DC movies on a case-by-case basis since I know there's no real guiding creative vision behind it. Out of the six movies I've seen in the current run, most were sub-par to poor, but 'Wonder Woman' was very good and surprisingly 'Aquaman' was fun (and making no apologies for being as dumb as a bag of hammers.) 'Shazam' Is also looking good, so between that and at least two of the four upcoming movies I'm aware of showing promise (I'm not convinced about either the Joker movie or the Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey movie sadly) I'd say their average is improving.
At the very least they seem to have gotten over the desperate, futile scramble to catch up the the MCU and decided to just make entertaining movies, so I'm optimistic.

As for the MCU, at this point I'm pretty much treating each movie less like it's own thing and more like an episode of an anthology show. Bit of a two edged sword as things can start to feel a little samey, but on the other hand a lot of the larger world building narrative heavy lifting has already been done by the previous 20 movies (and counting.) This allows individual filmmakers to focus more tightly on character and story without need to rely too much on exposition to make sure the audience is on the same page.

I am totally looking forward to seeing the 3rd Guardians movie! I would see the 2nd Suicide Squad movie also, I liked the first one. But the Guardians are a favorite of mine. Just watching the dancing opening credits from the first one makes my day!
