Suggestions to sell TOS (and movies) original props

The short answer is that it is not one of the original props. And given that, I figured you deserved an analysis of what was in the picture.
The thing is, this seems a lot like the situation of the TOS Enterprise model on display at Paul Allen's Sci Fi museum. The owner of the model believed that it was a studio model (used in DS9's "Trials and Tribble-ations") and had a receipt from Viacom. It wasn't the studio model, but one of a half dozen custom built models using the molds that Jein had used to make the studio model.
Adding that story to what we are seeing with these props makes me wonder if these people at Viacom were playing a little fast and loose with the facts to sell items (either from their store or elements from their tours).

Wow, thanks for the detailed analysis!
I don't know if this can clear things up, but among these objects there was also a Phaser that was presented as a "replica made using original materials and methods". Here it is:

I didn't include it in the first place because, contrary to the Globo items which are presented as "screen used", this has a different certificate of authenticity, from Alan Sims, and it clearly says it's a replica.

By the way: does anybody know what this is supposed to be? It was among the other items, but I can't recognize it.

Even if they were the originals, I find it odd that they have two movie phasers labeled as being from Star Trek's 2 and 6 when both were made for the film just prior.

That Phase 2 communicator is VERY faithful to the original design, just fatter. Now I wonder are the Diamond Select mass market toy versions based on the Phase 2 designs? Because they always seemed too fat.

I thought the fat comms were shaped that way so they could accommodate a 9V battery. Phase II's prop maker might have had that in mind, I don't know. But Diamond Select certainly did.

Luckily, the extra thickness looks and feels fine. As far as that goes, for years I thought the Franz Joseph communicator design was accurate. Truly screen-accurate props are a luxury, a first world problem. :)

I'm not sure I agree. The earlier Playmates version didn't need to make that much room. The Diamond Select/Art Asylum looked pregnant.

I’m a bit of an expert on props. This tour is well known and yes sponsored by Paramount but did not have screen used assets. I’ve seen these and others go by and all were interesting but not production made / screen used.

The "Cloudminders" items look correct.
The Butterfield auction was held on Dec. 12, 1993, and the first part of the auction was for the William Ware Theiss collection.
I was at that auction with my friend Don. I picked up some story outlines (which we split) and a few costumes.

Lot 865
Jimmy Fields Ensemble from the "Star Trek" episode "The Cloudminders".
Paramount Television 1966-1969. Designed by William Ware Theiss.
