Suggest a new passing line that would deepen an episode

We could probably write half a dozen "Ensign Kim finally grows a pair and confronts Janeway on how totally crapped on he's been, rank-wise" conversations... but I'll throw out this one.

TORRES: "Congratulations, Lieutenant." (smooch)
KIM: "I didn't notice a little box on my chair."
(brief silence)
PARIS: "I hate to say it, but he has a point."
TORRES: "I would agree with you."
CHAKOTAY: "Yes... certainly, Tom's year of good work rates a reward, but Harry's given us close to six."
TUVOK: "Five years, eleven months, and two days. Ensign Kim's confusion is... logical."

(Janeway, realizing that everyone just called her on an indefensible action on her part, has nothing to say. She is saved by the comm's beeping)
CHAKOTAY: "Looks like a distress call."

Picard being unnecessarily grumpy about reviving the 20th century people in TNG: "The Neutral Zone":

PICARD: Look, I am never critical of any member of my staff being curious, but it's just that the timing is so–
DATA: I could not leave them there, Captain. The condition of their vehicle was deteriorating.
PICARD: But Data, they were already dead. I mean, what more could have happened to them?
DATA: I see your point, Captain, but at the time it seemed the proper thing to do.
PICARD: Well, they're alive now. We're going to have to treat them as living human beings.
CRUSHER: Alive and well and ready to be awakened.
PICARD: Before you wake them up, I want to have Security here. Lieutenant Worf, report to Sickbay.
CRUSHER: I have them sedated now, but they should be up and about as soon as possible.
PICARD: Well, then we have no other choice.
CRUSHER: None that I can see.

This could be improved by adding a line to link the scenario to Kirk reviving Khan and his crew in TOS: "Space Seed", like:

"Look, I am never critical of any member of my staff being curious, but for the last 100 years Starfleet has had very strict protocols regarding the revival of humans discovered in suspended animation in deep space."

Or even just a wry:

"Before you wake them up, I want to have Security here. Lieutenant Worf, report to Sickbay. Reviving people from suspended animation doesn't always go well for ships named Enterprise."

CAROL MARCUS (recording): Phase 2 f the Genesis Project will be underground
MCCOY: That's deep.
SPOCK: covers mouth with hand
KIRK: Cut it out you two

Hmm... regarding Picard's "Neutral Zone" line, how's about:
"Before you wake them up, I want to have Security here. Lieutenant Worf, send two human security personnel to Sickbay. Our guests have undoubtedly never seen an alien; no need to traumatize them unnecessarily."

WORF: (under his breath) Racist.
PICARD: What?
WORF: What?
PICARD: What?
WORF: What?

Generations:

KIRK: Did we do it? Did we make a difference?
PICARD: Yes... thank you.
KIRK: Least I could do...for a captain of the Enterprise. ... Strange...
PICARD: What?
KIRK: I thought it was day, but the stars are out. ...always thought I'd die alone...
PICARD (closes his eyes in grief.)

KIRK: Oh my...
KIRK DIES
