We could probably write half a dozen "Ensign Kim finally grows a pair and confronts Janeway on how totally crapped on he's been, rank-wise" conversations... but I'll throw out this one.
TORRES: "Congratulations, Lieutenant." (smooch)
KIM: "I didn't notice a little box on my chair."
(brief silence)
PARIS: "I hate to say it, but he has a point."
TORRES: "I would agree with you."
CHAKOTAY: "Yes... certainly, Tom's year of good work rates a reward, but Harry's given us close to six."
TUVOK: "Five years, eleven months, and two days. Ensign Kim's confusion is... logical."
(Janeway, realizing that everyone just called her on an indefensible action on her part, has nothing to say. She is saved by the comm's beeping)
CHAKOTAY: "Looks like a distress call."
