Successful Pet Adoption Stories!

How are they actually companions? They spend all of 3 minutes with you a week, if you are lucky.

My cat, Elsa, and I enjoyed each other's company for hours on end. She would sit on my lap or next to me. She would join in activities around the house as she was curious. She was a great companion. We watched the scariest episode ever of Tales from the Crypt together one evening with me cuddling the life out of her, and she still sat with me! :)

Thank you for telling us about your horse, Marie1. I'm glad you had some good times together and you have good memories to look back on.

I just put down my payment on the two cats I'm going to adopt. :)

I will be bringing them home at the end of December once my home is ready and I have time off. Very excited here!!!

I've shown them before, but these are my cats Lilly and Sierra (Sierra's on the left). We adopted Lilly from the shelter at four months old, and Sierra we got from a friend (but she originally came from a shelter as a kitten as well).

:p to you too!

Both my cats are from shelters too.

Beanie was a stray cat before being taken to the shelter. He has disabled leg and problems with herpes virus. But he's the sweetest thing in the world :)

Especially when he pulls Shrek's Puss in Boots eyes:

Marigold was a cat returned to the shelter, because she and her family weren't a good match.

We adopted these two from local shelters in 1998.
We are probably due a trip back to a shelter to add another dog to the family, the kids keep telling me that "Daisy is lonely and needs a friend".

Gorgeous animals!

Thanks.

Sorry about the loss of your lab. :(

Thanks. Even at the end, his spirit was willing, his body was done. When I'd come home, I could hear his tail thumping on the hardwood floor.

I miss the guy. :(

^What sort of feline are you trying to wrap there?!? Come here Mr. Mountain Lion and let me put this tight, uncomrtable piece of latex around your wiener.
