So apparantly as part of the "welcome week" festivities here at the local University, they are screening Trex XI THIS THURSDAY 8/24! This means that it must be in their hands on DVD, right? Hmmmm....

So get this. The movie finally came to the office yesterday. On a VHS video tape. Seriously. Anyhow, I popped it in, and it's been modified to 4:3, and looks pretty rough. I'll pass.

My college does this program where every friday we get a movie that is between theaters and public release. They always come as VHS tapes. They're not bootlegs though. The picture quality isn't any worse than any other standard definition movie/tv show so it always looks fine to me. We're also getting Star Trek the first friday we go back. But I don't go back till the week of September 7th so it's not until the 11th that they are showing it...
It's starting at my campus (University of New Mexico) for three showings over three days starting today. I'm going to try to see it on Thursday.

Ours is now a $2 Cinema. $3.00 popcorn and $3.00 soda, both have free refill.
