STtNG Pinball Machine

J.T.

Cadet
Newbie
Hello,

I am picking up a STtNG pinball machine at the weekend, see below for pics:

http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?gid=2357

The pin playfield comes with 4 model ships: Borg, Romulan, Klingon BOP and a shuttle. However, none of the models are particularly nice looking (lacking detail).

It should be possible to see images of the 4 ships on the ipdb website. Can anyone point me to large detailed images of the ships in question, so I can get an idea how to pimp them up a bit :-)

Cheers, Jon

I actually played this, good game as far as pinball goes. Lots of detail, but I prefer the Original series from 1978 I think, that has them as they appeared in the 60's, but changed their uniforms to co inside with the new motion picture--mostly for nostalgia.

Nice machine. As far as getting details, you could always reference screen caps over at trekcore.

I remember playing a TNG pinball machine years ago. IIRC, it had Riker saying "Set co-ordinates for the alpha quadrant", beta quadrant, etc.

I came up with a better idea for finding reference images. Just do a Google Image Search. For example: Star Trek TNG Descent Borg Ship. I tried that one and Ex Astra had a pretty good pic.

Great machine, definitely one of my favourites, but there's a lot of moving parts in it, so hopefully it won't be a bear to maintain it!

I played this game back in college.

I'd suggest not modifying it, beyond restoring it to original condition, if needed. Any "modifications" will only serve to devalue it, I think.

You go and paint and add stuff, and at some point in the future I can imagine someone else getting it and having to undo everything you've done to restore it to original condition.

Very cool! I saw one of these at a gaming convention a few years ago. It's a great looking machine and fun to play.
