Struggling to remember this show...

There was this "learning show" I used to watch in the 1990s either on TLC or The Discovery Channel (my gut tells me it was the former) it was narrated by I think Tom Selleck but I'm not positive on that (IMDB turns up nothing.)

It was a show generally about space, the science of space and space travel, etc. I remember one scene fairly vividly where, in order to explain to the audience how "fast" light is, they broke down a second into the instant that shows the time light travels across the distance of, like, a mile or something like that.

It was very neat series and I'm struggling to remember the name of it!

Yeah, IMDB doesn't list Tom Selleck as having done anything like this as "himself" in any year.

Who else sounds like Tom?
