Methink's perhaps you may have forgotten all the times Mr. Chekov quipped that a multitude of things were created by Russians, while at his post on the bridge.
I don't seem to remember Captain Kirk ever dressing him down for those.
Low hanging fruit: "Is the rest of your history that faulty, Ensign?"

And of course: "I was making a little joke, sir. " "Extremely little, ensign."

I enjoyed the guest appearances by Tawny Newsome and um, Skip Intro? Can't find much on him at IMDB.

I thought Spock's creepy smile was from seeing Chapel getting a bit touchy feely with Boimler which made it even creepier.

Oh yeah, just like the one time (so far) Pike did something similar to Orteges.

And let's not forget Uhura's legendary quip when an intoxicated Sulu called her his "fair maiden," right there on the bridge while she was on duty.

"Sorry. Neither."

Yep, pretty much.

But you go right ahead and continue to float down that River Of The Pharaohs without a paddle.
You're already up to you neck in it's muddy waters.

Warning for other - getting personal. Trolling, whatever.

I told you guys that this needed to stop. And yes, I read the entire exchange.

Now that I mentioned it. Dennis Quaid might make for a good George Samuel Kirk, Sr.
I don't know about George Kirk, but I'd love to hear him as Boimler's dad!

THAT is arguably the best line in Star Trek. And I very much remember the day I understood it. "Wait. WHAT did they just say on this show from the 1960's?!?"

Perhaps in another five or six years, when Pike leaves the Enterprise and an extremely young captain takes over, the Enterprise will cease being the Flagship of Starfleet. Maybe a newer ship takes that honor for Kirk's historic five year mission. It may even remain as not the "flagship" for Kirk's entire run as captain/admiral. The Enterprise-A likely not being "flagship" due to Kirk's demotion and politics. Though that would be the time for USS Titan to take up that title until the Enterprise-B was up and running.

I wonder if the "flagship" would have been USS Constellation for that time? Matt Decker was one of the most decorated captains already in the late 50s with Pike and April.

Perhaps the no longer "flagship" Enterprise gets a refit that tones her down in terms of looks? She's more a workhorse by her 20th year.
