As TREK XI is about to be unleashed (there is a 3AM showing of this movie!!! I MIGHT GO!!! uggh) can you think back to the first early rumors of this movie? What were some of the more outlandish ones you heard, or even now, think might have been cool? The Genesis of XI, IMO, is born out of the ashes of NEMESIS. I actually remember a rumor where Berman was going to be given another chance. Voyager was rumored to be going to the movies…maybe even an EARTH/ROMULAN war movie…

[The Wormhole]

I remember April 2006, I saw an article on Trekweb titled "JJ Abrams to direct Star Trek XI." I groaned at what seemed like the latest pie in the sky rumour to be shot down within weeks.

Oy, that didn't pan out the way I thought.
