Stories You've Watched Recently

I really liked Full Circle, I liked the setting, the plot, the marshmen and the starliner elements. I like as well that there's no real bad guy in the story either and, go on fglame me, I rather liked Adric in this!

That said I'm only one episode into State of Decay and he's annoying me already

Just watched Delta and the Bannermen. Watchable but the soundtrack is unforgivable. The girl that drove around on the scooter would have made a decent companion.

Delta and the Bannermen. Watchable...

You missed out putting in the prefix "un" there.

Ghastly show. I only own the DVD because I am an insufferable and clinical completist. All IMO, of course, but the last time I tried to watch it I could actually feel grey matter leaking out of my left earhole (probably a last ditch escape attempt by a few rogue neurons not yet completely euthanised by substance abuse, but I digress) ..

I remember hating it when it first aired, but time has mellowed me to the point where I could sit all the way through it.

Agreed about the soundtrack. I was just joking with the wife the other day about how awful Doctor Who's music used to be back in the day. Then we sat down and watched my recording of the 2010 Doctor Who Prom and basked in what my childhood self would have termed "impossible": Doctor Who music worthy of a symphony. :techman:

As for the biker chick ("Ray"?), I distinctly remember at the time suffering through it that I thought she would be an excellent companion. Then, no more than an episode later, we picked up a female, leather jacket-wearing companion named "Ace". Funny... ;)

Some of the running around was really bad I thought. Like they'd be scrambling around right in front of the TARDIS! Climb inside... Maybe it was a lack of good corridors or something but it all just seemed rather clumsily staged.

I'm watching The Talons of Weng-Chiang on netflix right now. I should be done this behemoth sometime next week If I don't pause for pee breaks or sleep. :)

I went with Day of the Daleks a story about a paradox that includes a pair of docs, awesome. I liked this story, some of it shouldn't work but yet I still like it. Like even the Doctor just lounging about the Professor's house was still entertaining.

Chalk it up to Pertwee, who else can wear a ruffled shirt and a cape and pull it off? Plus, we get Jo in a checkered shirt and denim number with white go-go boots, a red tie and red knickers. :) Having the Daleks livens things up without them being the entire focus. (I read on the BBC site that Nation was paid 25 pounds an episode to use the Daleks which I found amusing)

Loved the daft scene with the three-wheeler though probably for the wrong reasons. The Three Daleks in charge kind of reminds me of 21st Century Who.

Really? I thought most of the exteriod shots were quite well done. Especially love the Marshmen rising up out of the water.

Yes, I am looking forward to Dragon Fire being released.

I liked the first episode and that it was all outdoors but thought the following were lacking. Maybe I'll give it another shot at some point.

Are you asking for spoilers or complaining about them?

If you're asking for them ... Dragon Fire is Ace's intro story. It's also the only story (sigh) to feature the brilliant Patricia "Magenta" Quinn. Though, she has been in some of the audios.

And Ace doesn't even wear a leather jacket...

What? Sure it is. Right? It's leather, with all the patches? Don't tell me that's not a leather jacket. I can't believe I've had that wrong in my head all these years if that's true....... :cardie:

No, I was just saying "Sorry" if I spoiler-ed anything for Pindar. But, thanks for the overview. Especially for the person I don't know anything about... :techman:

Patricia Quinn ... She was Magenta on Rocky Horror Picture Show. (And Dr. Nation McKinley in its sequel, Shock Treatment, which I think only two people on this board have ever seen.)

Dammit....brain.......exploding......readjusting to.....reality.....
